Quite honestly, I've heard too many versions to know what is accurate - I'm not an infrastructure guy, but a database guy. As long as there is storage available for me to insert data into my tables, I'm happy. :-)

SSDs aren't cost effective in my TB data warehouses, so they are bit outside my radar. I just keep hearing the debates from our admins about them.

Gotcha. The one common recc I've heard is limiting their use primarily to OS boot up. But that's in discussions where important jobs like yours are involved. I've basically limited mine to OS, high gfx demand games, or competitive games.

256GB SSDs can be found for under $100 now. You should definitely use one as your main drive. If you have data storage needs, pick up a 5TB Toshiba drive for $140:

Pretty big night in Toronto!

Hard to believe, the city hasn't won a playoff series since 2004 in *any* of our three major league sports. Talk about starved for success. Fun stuff

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Comments about this trailer are all over the place. One person commented, "My biggest fear is this movie is really about women's rights and black lives matter."

Personally, I like the trailers I have seen so far, and I can't wait to see the movie. I anticipate however, that these next three films will never match up to the nostalgia evoked by episodes IV-VI. It may prove difficult to enjoy them for what they are.

My fear is that the cameos will end up looking foolish and ham-fisted. I haven't enjoyed Harrison Ford's acting in like fifteen years now; he seems glassy-eyed and devoid of much emotion (similar to his performance in Ender's Game).

I am, however, glad they picked relative unknowns as the leads. Helps with immersion -- we don't need to see Tom Cruise as a Jedi Master.

I agree! He's been atrocious. I think you have to go back to the mid-90's even to find a performance of his that was decent.

Saturday November 7th 2015, from 2pm - whenever

I am hosting an old school D&D party and you are invited if you live in the Pacific NW (or are inclined to travel). Seattle, Tacoma, Portland OR, Vancouver BC, Spokane WA etc all are invited.
This would be at my house in Maple Valley WA (20 miles SE of Seattle). I have rooms etc to crash in if anyone comes from out of town and wants to stay (large house).

Previously I have had a couple D&D summer BBQ parties where a version of this happened (at the last one we had about 14 people and had 2 DMs running the sewer section of A1 simultaneously), but I am hoping to get up to 20 attendees for this.

What there will be:
1/4 bbl of micro beer (I have a tap & kegerator fridge)
Multiple DMs running 1e or earlier, or related simulacra games.
A grill available. Free hot dogs and cheap soda

The cost is free unless you want to chip in for beer.

This party invitation / organization will be done via evite so if potentially interested you can express interest here, and make sure to PM me your email address to add to the evite.

Yes, some guys were using it as a filler game as one game got over before the other. It is a hard little game not to like. I can see why it won awards and is popular. I have the app on my android tablet so am a little burnt out on it at the moment though. My wife oft requests it when we have some free time.
