Heh!  I actually think it's entertaining, but horribly out of place on The Acaeum.  Much better suited to a Livejournal blog page sort of thing.

Couldn't agree more.... All the tosh that comes out is rather amusing, but actually I find it rather boring after the first few lines as the posts seem to go on & on & on & on & on....like someone who likes the sound of their own keyboard      I tend to not read the posts because they are too convoluted and irritating..

Now I realise why I thought I recognised the nonsense going on over in the AD&D Open thread... Link back here and it all becomes clear. Can't be doing with such nonsense personally,

Each to their own though... :?

Thanks for the :)!

Bbarsh's comment about the livejournal is definitely worth considering ... however, it seems a little too one-dimensional for my taste.
Perhaps a place to take notes, which has clear links to finished pieces.

According to the DMG.68 (1st edition Dungeon Master's Guide, page 68), Modifiers to Pursuit:
either
A. Food or
B. Treasure,
will distract a pursuing monster.
By logical extension, if one surprises the monster, and just throws down some (A.) food or (B.) treasure, it will just ignore you, right?
In my case, (C.), that is, links to avant-garde poetry and/or creative writing message boards (the weirder (& uncountable adjectives, ea.), the better) could be added to the list.

You're right, acaeum is a place to discuss the collection of (A)D&D (et al.) materials : if my posts are getting in the way of this, then I need to start posting less and less, towards the direction of 0. (An ideal that might never be achieved, but definitely approached).

Another couple of esteemed posters expressed a distinct lack of apprection for my tripe recipe.
If it's not appreciated, then why cook it?
Is it really worth making twenty people barf just so that a few people can experience gastronomic bliss?
I should seriously step back, and think of ways that I can avert the gastrointestinal distress that I am unwittingly (and most unfortunately) inflicting on others.

ashmire made very valuable criticisms of my style : for this, I thank you! An effort towards less convolution, less on and on, more focus, more simplicity.
I swore off writing poetry
(not with complete success : sometimes my eyes glaze over and I start frothing at the mouth, and I grab the nearest writing instrument, and write on the nearest surface, paper, a wall, a
book, the person standing next to me, if they happen to be wearing light colored clothes at the time),
and hence my writing seems to be taking a more prosaic turn.
A MB is a public forum, not a stage for a soliloqueef, and there is much to be said for the "less is more" approach, within this medium.

PS. My only issue is with Mars, only one specific thing that he said (where, according to my interpretation) he accused me of selling stolen and/or shoddy goods. I would hope that he
comes forward somewhere at acaeum, and brings this out into the open, into the light of day, so that I can properly address this. I mean, in the sense of generality, if you are running a
business, and someone accuses you of these things, what choice do you have to take it seriously, to make it a priority to set the record straight. Uggh (I should be formatting another poster's very important list into a nascent table on a .html page, for future reference). As for the other things he's hurled my way, good for him for expressing himself! I've got no issue with any of that, just that one accusation that was made yesterday, unless I was misinterpreting, in which case, I will apologize. So Mars, keep hurling the Latin fire, but don't waste a
Molotov cocktail in an act of fiery transmogrification. You invited me for a beer today : surely, there are better things to drink!

PPS. I cannot post much tonight, as I have a date with my boyfriend Bruno, and he is likely to keep me occupied for the greater part of the weekend.

Shame you had to cut your post short like that.
Perhaps after Bruno has his way with you, you can return to give us more, more, more, and ... some more....

Now now, no homophobia here.

Cheers,

Gnat,
Bruno is his dog!

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Sorry nothing in his posts indicated that.

Isn't Bruno also the title gay character in a current movie?  The confusion was deliberate.

But...aren't we all feeding the troll here?  :shaking2:
