hey i sat in one of the games last GenCon. what did i get from it? Tim turning me to stone twice by the same monster.....yes that was fun not!

but hey he made fun of that, but to me, thats just part of gaming sometimes.....

over the years, i have found that not ever player/DM suits each other. there are many different styles and some always stand out like a sore foot. the way i DM, you have no choice to do anything other than think outside the box, because i dont give you the chance otherwise....but i do know as well, some dont like that. they would rather have it more discussion orientated and not-rushed.

i mean, if its comments et-al, thats affecting you due to 2 games beforehand meeting Tim. ask badmike about that. he still hasnt lived down an incident from a game 2 years ago. and it isnt just me that makes fun of him over it!

but that said, i am sorry to hear that you didnt like that guy. its a real shame. but hey, it happens. life goes on and we should all just deal with it now.

i think everyone has probably had their pennies-worth on this issue now, so can we now get back to the original point of the topic? i would maybe suggest that if the discussion/argument wanted to continue, it could be done privately?

Just popping in to say that the folks on Lemur chat had a rousing round of shouting "Screw you!" at each other for hours this Friday past, and for that hilarity this chat admin is most grateful.  

(I had no idea what was going on, as I hadn't read this thread...)

At the risk of hijacking this thread one more time, let me just say this: biggest loser ever. That's what I've been walking around saying to myself for the past three days. My apologies to Tim for getting ornery over a non-issue and again for airing a stupid minor grievence. I don't know where all that came from. And my apologies to everyone for my poor, poor writing. No one should ever have to be subjected to that. Don't know what came over me. I deserve what I got. Hanging head in shame. Biggest loser ever. Ugh, what a week.

The welcome just seemed appropriate.  I've had bad days (weeks - most of these in the Army) so I understand getting yourself into a funk and wanting to fight (attention). I did check and knew he was hit and miss for four years.  No biggy.

Since I am typically a DM myself, I recognize the effort that goes into developing unique adventures.  Nevertheless -- and with all due appreciation -- I'd vote for the new and deadly adventure.    

Course, we have yet to decide whom the Doomed Dozen shall be.  However, from the responses so far to the dinner, we may barely have twelve members (excluding significant others) in attendance.    (Unless there are some who will be at GenCon, but not at the dinner.  And, as that was my situation last year, I do feel a bit sorry for them.   )  Are there others who have yet to reply?

Sixteen members have "signed" up for the dinner.  Surely we can do better than that?!!

Hi Guys,

I'll be at Gen Con again this year and would enjoy attending the Acaeum dinner.  Sign me up +1.  


As for Tim's game at Gen Con, is that by invite only? Or is it a game that is open to any/all Acaeum members?  What day and when is that game typically held?
