It seems the duality of the issue is calling on forum members to pan another member while offering a pittance for what is obviously a quite valuable item.
When you go fishing, don't bitch if all you pull in is carp. If you don't like the results, don't go fishing.

you know, i've kinda half-decided that if i get to GenCon next year, i am gonna DM ST1. i bet i can make it into a good game :p

seriously guys, lets chill out a bit here.

i have dealt with malc and carl and not had problems with either.

whats posted on another board should stay there or be dealt with directly between the two parties.

business is business in the end. if you offer something extremely low for an item that everyone knows (with a little searching) is worth vastly more, you will always have others interested and will generally be criticised also.

offering very low amounts for something valuable...isn't that kinda the same as someone selling something ridiculously high, when its not worth anything close? ..... we slam the latter, so it only makes sense that the former would be dealt with the same, especially when its intimated you won't get much more.

i dont really have a problem with all of this, but openly insulting folk is pretty bad form either way.

come on guys, lets sort this out eh.....

hope this thread gets locked as nothing good will come of it.

and i DO hope it gets resolved too.

best

Al

Are we nearly there yet?

Malc, thanks for the best laugh I have had in ages.  I guess I payed too much :-) Your wife is quite the business woman.  She can work for me anytime.

Agreed Al! Lets leave these threads on other sites and not ruin this one.

Man, was I ever wrong!     But I sure wish I had been right after reading so much flying crap. :puker:   I agree that we should shut the thread down and chill.  8)

It seems one can learn a great deal of things about Lemurs on this site.

wow
I go to the in laws for a few days and look what's happened.

I'm at home, so its rare for me to go online, with my very slow system - I'm sure most every regular here knows I post at nights form work.

I haven't read any PM,  perhaps when I do I'll only get angry, and perhaps say something I will regret.

What I will say is-

Malcolm, my post at UKRPG was NOT in any way meant to hurt you or your business, it was genuinely meant as a good natured nudge, and I am saddened that you took it to heart, and hope that it did not do you any lasting harm. (Same sentiment to your good lady of course).

It is not in my nature to attack people with no reason, and there would be no earthly reason for me to try and harm Malcolm in any way - this was NEVER my intent. I cannot apologise enough.

Perhaps what I posted could be taken wrongly - the ins and outs of it could be argued to the end of time - someone here said that there are no winners in this - he was right.

Once again - there was NO intent for harm from me - I wish that no had been taken. If I could retract my words I would, but hindsight is 20/20.

(Of course if I can pick up an ST1 for $200 I will  - note the smiley)

This fuss is hopefully going to die away.

(FWIW I did recently highlight a SA box on Malcolms site in a thread on these very boards - the actions of someone trying to do harm to a fellow member?)

Once again, I am sorry that this whole mess ever happened.

(I'll be offline for 2/3 days now - I won't be ignoring replies, I just won't be seeing them!)

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

gyg, seems to me you're being overly apologetic.  Don't worry about it, man.  :D
