Auction Hunter just found this auction a few hours ago... i.e., the seller set the auction duration to 1 day. Not the best idea, IMHO.

I won it yesterday, as I was looking for such set a long time ago. I thought the price would go higher. :roll: I didn't see many of them in the past years, maybe Brian sold an exemplary a few years ago. Or someone else. Yes, the box in not in fine condition but I think this was very fragile, so it is not too bad IMO.

About upgrading the modules inside, yes I was thinking about it... but not for a resale, just for me. If I am right, the modules don't have any distinctives characteristics... Would you consider that as a infamous Frankenstein ?

I hesitated to bid. This time, it was possible for European collectors to snipe it at the last moment. Finally I did not bid: other purchases and also a box in a condition that is not at the top. However, congratulations Le Rahib! :salut: Indeed for that hard to find item, it seems a nice opportunity that will not be repeated soon. I wonder if this is the first set that will go to France. Anyway good acquisition, whatever its condition.

Asking prices on most of these D&D auctions seem more than double what I'd expect for the condition they are in. Will be interesting to see if they sell or not.

The seller is somewhat optimistic regarding condition, as with their "not nearly as wrinkled as it looks" Chainmail. At a $4k start, it seems a bit awkward to have to start asking questions about insect damage, wrinkling, staple rust, inscriptions, etc. Hopefully no missing pages (as is quite common with those), anyhow.

For German modules, it's still not that easy to find a seller in Germany who ships outwith the country: a bit of a "waiting game", but it can be done; e.g.

Seller has these BINed for about $121.46 (USD) Per Issue.... this should be in the silliest price thread.
Even if all seven issues of The Strategic-Review are completely Mint those should not come anywhere close to that price.

There is not even a Make An Offer option there...

Poor box condition, but if anyone was looking for unpunched Battlesystem counters and stuff, this might be a chance. There is a reserve, though. As far as I know, those aren't the original minis, either.

Also some bonus counters from the DL11 module. No idea if they are complete.
