Insidious

This smooth little adventure hearkens back to the days of yesteryear when, to quote from Douglas Adams, "Men were real men, women were real women, and small, fuzzy creatures from Alpha Centauri were real, small fuzzy creatures from Alpha Cantauri", and when Dungeons & Dragons was real Dungeons & Dragons or in this case, real AD&D.

And this is what 'Insidious' is, a real AD&D adventure and unashamedly so. From its unbelievable Jeff Easley cover to its time tested rule system. The plot is straightforward but filled with possibilities, and the adventure is perfect for a solid gaming session or two with very little work needed by the DM.

The artwork through and through is amazing. Not only are the drawings fantastic they are also perfect as play aids for the adventure. They can be used as illustrations of what the DM is describing in words and notes on the map.

Finally, a set of pregenerated characters is provided. These are useful for a quick game where players may not have their own characters on hand, or they can be used as NPCs by the DM. Extra villains, a rival adventuring party, select henchmen, or characters to flesh out the town which is only lightly described in the adventure.

Insidious can also be easily expanded, or, do to the nature of the plot, used again. Solving one problem for the town may very well leave the source of all the problems untouched and unresolved.

I definitely recommend grabbing a copy of this adventure while it is available, or the pdf, (which I have found extremely handy for copying out the map and illustrations as player aids).

Mine should be delivered today!  Apparently the post office got the memo, lol.

Mine arrived in the mail today.  Very professional, in both quality and appearance, and great artwork.  Impressive work.  Gotta love the name of the owner of the Inn, too.  And one of the pregenerated characters also has a familiar moniker.

Let me add to the chorus of praise for Insidious.

My copy arrived in the mail today.  I was astonished at the quality of the product in my hand...like a message from another time.

You did extremely well in capturing the old style...hiring the old artist helped...and the production values of this gem are excellent.  You even outdid TSR in the most crucial category:  Unlike a number of the old modules from TSR, I can actually see myself using this module.

Also, I ordered this module less than a week ago and got it today.  That is surely record service for OSR small press publishing.  Six days as opposed to more than six months!  Nice work.
     

Received mine in one week, beautiful work.
But I have to say that I'm quite disappointed by the package quality. I've received a deeply creased module, both cover and booklet. The envelope is too thin and the magazine cardboard is definitively too thin also to protect correctly a module in such an envelope. One or two rigid cardboard should have been put into the envelope.
I expected an item in mint and collectible condition... I'm very disappointed.  
Ok it's not the fault of the seller if the item came damaged but please put a rigid carbdoard for your future shipment !

I have to say that I thought it was shipped out very well when I received mine last week, and there was bold lettering for "DO NOT BEND".

I'm sorry that yours got folded or creased. A similar thing happened on the last module I received from bbarsh, and I completely fault the mail delivery for it.
