For a treat, she's naked in a REALLY bad movie called Second Time Lucky that I caught on cable about 20 years ago....yep, totally nude, not once but several times.  That's the only redeeming thing about the movie; rent it and watch it with the sound turned down....

Anyone play?  I don't.  In fact the longest single time I have spent on a golf course was probably very late one evening about 20 years ago, getting a little drunk and stoned on a green with some friends (golfcourses always look enticing when you are heading home from a long evening in the pub and it is warm, with the stars out in the night sky - and anyway that fence, well that is just a challenge isn't it?).

Anyhoo, it is the Open Championship at the moment.  

You know, it looks quite easy, really.  On TV.

One of my friends from back in school leases a golf course and I sometimes help him out with it (anything from being a "ranger" for the day, running new telephone cable, configuring his new laptoop for all the financials, etc). One of the benefits for me is free golf whenever I want (if there isn't a big outing/benefit thats got the whole course closed). Unfortunately, with my current position, I don't have much time to do it anymore, but at one time, I was playing atleast 9 holes every day.

Every year, when they close for the season (late November), he gets everyone together and plays what we call "cross country golf". It's basically a best ball scramble (everyone in the group hits their own ball and then you decide who hit it the beset and then you all go to that location and start the process over again). The interesting thing is there are 27 holes on this course and you can start off on #1's tee box but you need to hole on #13's green. From there, you go to the closest tee and go for the next green. A golf course will play completely different doing "cross country" then it does normal. Lakes and traps are completely screwy as well as trees and misc crap such as clubhouse/equipment barns/restroom buildings/etc all come into play. On a course that is open 365/year, I don't think they can do stuff like this, but on one that closes for the winter they can.

Unfortunately, I golf snowman and never really got good at it. It's still nice to get away and relax for a few hours though and beating that little ball with a titanium piece of metal....relieves some stress as well...or it may be the beers

I started playing one summer, and hit a hole in one.  So I quit playing.  The game is too long and too expensive.  I do not like watching it on TV.  The only thing I like about it is the walking and being with friends.
