On eBay in two weeks:

eBay to auction very first Superman comic -- Action Comics #1 - CNET

Now, if the winning bidder were to come from the Acaeum, and were to have clicked on the auction preview block here within 24 hours of entering their bid... that would result in a pretty sweet auction commission for the site. I'm just saying.

Not the best condition copy in existence, so you should probably wait.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

That was quick enough (once it was listed here). The DCS III "bonus item" copy didn't even sell first time around at $30(?) less, IIRC.

I suspect that a lot of people were watching this guy's auctions that ended suspiciously suddenly...

Including an empty woodgrain box, chainmail 2nd, 1st-3rd booklet plus other stuff. Looks like someone made him an off-ebay offer he couldn't refuse..

(not me by the way, I was looking forward to seeing what the two empty boxes would end up going for, now I guess we can only speculate)

Yeah i asked the same thing. They said they were offered, to quote, "Several hundred $$$ for the item" I hope that included the other items that misteriously ended as well.

This is what the seller told me in my Q to him about the disappearance of the boxes + Chainmail auctions:

Im sorry. I sold the boxes and several other D&D items I had listed to a local buyer for quite a substantial sum.

Thank you for your bids on the boxes. This local offer was just too good to pass up. Several 100 $$$...

I bought some FGU items and they emailed the day after auctions ended asking if I still wanted the items or not?!

I didn't reply of course and had unpaid item filed next day against me!
