This could go in the "Appraisal" section as well, but thought it was more relevant here. Not sure how "Rare" these are and what the "fair market value" would be for one. I would appreciate some ideas.

Thank you - Paul

I wasn't sure if this was something that TSR handed out or if it was something TSR sent as a PDF and somebody printed up.

Also worth noting that there was a reserve so the minimum selling price would have to be higher than the $49 starting bid by 30% (?).

Way back in the day when Gencon was in Milwaukee, you'd go across the street to Hammond Hall to where the RPGA events were being played. You'd just walk up to the RPGA reception area, and take a book off of the table. It was never in a PDF format.

They're not rare. Uncommon (rank 2-3) would be a better rating.

I'm sure Burntwire has these early video games - I remember seeing them in their Dungeon closet.

Go past the table and the shelves, walk to the portcullis door, and its there on your right, lower shelf.

Two years later.....

Every time I look at those pictures, my jaw hits the floor and I see something I've never seen before.  8O

Of course it is fun to spot a few items that I actually have and think, I have that!

We don't have everything :)

Many of our rares were sold several years ago but still have some we wanted to keep. Also have a list of around 50 items we still need not including licensed items we want. Most of the items we need are not rare with some exceptions like: Quadrille Graph Paper, Hex Pad, Hex Book.

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.

I've got an entire set mint in packaging...weird thing is I didn't even get them that long ago.  Game store was cleaning out a bunch of boxes in the back and put them out on the shelf at cover price, I think as a joke, because when I grabbed them and went up to buy them the guy at the counter was incredulous someone actually wanted them (Dawn Patrol,. Thesus and Minotaur, and one other).  Asking me stuff like "You know those won't play on anything but a 30 year old computer, right?"

Dungeon! is the other title and the hardest one to find by far.

I used to find bargains like that all the time, but I went inside a LOT of book and game stores and out of the way thrift shops. Now that I'm too busy to do much of that anymore, I don't find many bargains!  The more you explore, the more goodies you'll eventually find, even if it's only 10 percent of the time.  Plus, nothing bad about spending all your spare time in used game and bookstores, right?

game stores? lol. hobbytown usa is it when it comes to rpgs and the like. the comic book stores here deal strictly in comics and are both owned by the same guy. as far as video games..gamestop is what we got. lol

Not Ebay, but there are some good prices on the premium reprints here marked for clearance.

Role Playing Games - Clearance

(If this should be somewhere else, just let me know.)

Hi SigSag,

just curious, are these items ones that you're selling?

If it is the insert included with the game, & includes "Dungeon of the Ground Goblins," then some of the history should be re-written. I had previously heard that the game insert (for the UK GW edition of Holmes) consists of a photocopy of Jackson's article in Games & Puzzles magazine #48 (May '76). However the insert shown in this eBay auction does not have the same text, although it looks like the insert could have been expanded from the article (both mention Midgard & Hyboria). The illustrations also differ.
