It is called the Acaeum-Effect. It doesn't always raise the price, but it does so often enough that it can really jam up prices.

Ok, so I have to ask.  I run across quiet a few items as I'm scanning Ebay.  Without knowing who is bidding on what, is it the consensus to post on here or not post on here?? This of course applies to items that I'm not going to be bidding on!  Like nesbit, I hope the items I want don't end up linked here.  LOL

Don't know if this one has been mentioned yet. Looks like an AC5 in there but like the rest of the modules it is a pig in a poke.

Condition is incredibly important yet many of these bulk collections sell without any idea of completeness or damage. This one will probably go for relatively high dollar value when most of the modules sell for $10 each or less with at least some details on condition mentioned.

Wow!!  I need to pull together a pile of my old modules and throw them up on Ebay!  8O

I'm actually surprised it didn't go for more, but a little research on the sellers part and a description of which item was in what condition (even general condition) might have made a big difference.

have you noticed that they don't allow searchig by bidder anymore? also they now hide the names on the feedback so you can't find out who won the auction..

Its a personal choice.  The end result is that you are bringing the auction to everybody's attention.  Many people may not actively be searching or may not be searching very well and might have missed it so you are helping those people out.  However, for those that did find it and are looking to get it, you just did them a disservice because you have probably boosted the end price by a significant amount.

So some may thank you and others are cursing you.

Generally, if there is an item I know someone is looking for I will send them a private message with a link to the auction.

But realistically, if the auction contains good stuff, many of the usual suspects will find it anyway.

I wasn't sure if this was something that TSR handed out or if it was something TSR sent as a PDF and somebody printed up.

Also worth noting that there was a reserve so the minimum selling price would have to be higher than the $49 starting bid by 30% (?).
