Aia, there's some discussion of that black cover Gateway catalog here.

I went ahead & purchased the set so I could take a look at it. I'll report back when I get it. This copy may be incomplete compared to the one I posted in that thread (back in 2007!), since it seems to have less pages - it may be missing retail order forms.

This is volume 2 of the DL minis in Shrink. IS the price about right? I have no idea what these are worth.

I think you could get it for less, but I've seen higher.

Don't know if this been listed before.  Authentic?  Rather pricey too, but with the price of gold, maybe not so bad :)

I think Blackmoor pointed this one out a few months ago and said it is a fake gold plate - i.e. the gold plate does not chip like that.

The gold shaman and MU that I have don't look like this at all. This guy looks like straight paint has been sprayed on it. There is definately a loss of detail. The shaman and MU look more like something that has been 'bronzed', and the detail is still very good.

They both do have some 'chipping' in a place or two, so the plating can come off if mishandled, apparently.

Have to concur. The gold Grenadiers I have (direct from Grenadier) definitely don't look like this gold.

It's not on Ebay.  It's on Amazon.

I know a lot of you guys were the right age to watch the Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon series.

Here is the series, new for $8.99.

That is a link to the brown version.  It does not have all of the extras that the red version has.  Of course, the extras are not required to enjoy the series, and that is a good price.

I own the red, chock-full-o'-extras version of the D&D DVD set.  Apart from the 3.x mini-hardcover, the red version has the non-animated series finale.
