you're telling me that at ebay there have been a person (or more) so stupid to keep a fixed "anonymization" for every nick?!?! ...pls tell me that i have understood wrong... it'd the most stupid thing in the world!!!

Then if so, i'd kindly ask you to check you lists and tell me who is  y***c  ( 190 of feedback as at today). I have to ask him some info on an item he sniped me... (sigh!).

Don't know those off hand, but yes, the anonymous tag if fixed for each person. So it is possible over time to work out who some buyers are.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Hmmmmm..... did not know that the White Box was "The" prototype for D&D?!?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

And if this is the "Jewel" of his collection then he has a crappy collection.

Good luck trying to get $500 for that.

Though for the sake of research, take a look at the Greyhawk with the Lizard logo and enlarged pic.

Is it a 2nd print or a new hybrid print (3rd or later)?

Someone should ask him why they put "collecters edition" on a prototype.

I'm sure I am not the only one who has sent him a message unambiguously explaining what he actually has. My guess is that he's going to wait and see if he gets any takers at the current opening bid (not likely), and then revise his description when he relists. There might be an aspect of denial on his part--maybe he really believed he had a 1st print of some sort when he listed the item...

Over the years I have seen this happen on many occasions.
Sometimes it is exceedingly difficult to convince the sellers that what they have is not quite as incredible nor as rare as they had thought.
Everyone wants to believe they have found that golden nugget.

Hard headedness is fairly common on e-Bay.
Well anywhere really.

Maybe, didn't notice the separated sheet in the text, just looked at the picture.  That definitely makes it less desirable.

Apparently, the name of the piece is Dungeons and Dragons, that makes it original Dungeons and Dragons art.  Right?

Its the rare version of the Gateway to Adventure catalog - I think it might be order blanks inside.
