Something sold for more than I think it will be worth in 2024. Nice.

I like it when the seller leaves off a few zeroes but those errors seem to be rare.

Ten not particularly well sculpted minis that vaguely look dwarvish, but could just as easily be hobbits or gnomes, still sealed in shrink, all for a little more than 1gp. A bargain if you like minis from back in the day when they sculpted the masters out of play doh with sharp pencils.

I wonder how much they think it would be worth if it were full of experienced characters with all the armour, treasure and trophies to go with them?

Those character record sheets would be well worth it by 2024 I bet. I know I sound silly. The prices on everything I ever wanted, until like 2017, I always thought I would just buy later, only to watch the prices 8x over a few months. Sure, good deals came up, but never anything close to where they were. If its rare its going to spike. Most all of us have collections our kids are going to have to deal with one day. If I had one copy of that, its gone. Its off the market till, possibly the 2060s.

I wasnt referring to DnD stuff pre 2017 btw. Its never seen the spike other stuff has, though yes, they have certainly going up.

Why 2017? ...did anything happened in that year which is relevant in the collector's market?

I started collecting DnD items fairly heavy. :) I didnt price shop, I just shopped. Of course, $18 for a nice B2 first print didnt break the bank...

You say that, but... I bet if you listen very closely, you can hear it whispering to you right now.

NKGs entire business model seems to be that there is always a bellend willing to pay stupid money for over described and exaggerated rarity if you post the product and wait long enough, and a lot of sellers follow suite. The buyer no doubt has the prize in his collection, their children have lost out on the opportunities that that capital may have brought them, and the seller has made out like a bandit. There is no evidence that it wasn't shrink-wrapped for the photo, and there is no way the seller is going to open it to find out, so everyone is a winner excepts the kids who will never know how much of their future happiness or security daddy gambled away.

It looks like this might have sold:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The seller made this statement in the description:

SEALED! NEW! NEVER OPENED!!! I was told this is the only sealed one in the world.

It's quite annoying when sellers act like they know what they are talking about, or make spurious claims without validating them.  In this case the seller says someone else "told" him this so it must be right!  There are quite a few of these in SW, as I've owned two of them myself, and know others that have it in SW too.

It looks like someone ended up buying it too, which is scary if they weren't aware that this item is not that rare.
