well king fu panda is just good fun. i took my daughter and we both enjoyed it. i want to see get smart, as i was always a fan of the 60s series.

I finally got to see one of the infamous "M-Bags" this morning.

A few weeks ago I placed an order for one book from Powell's through their Amazon store.

It arrived today very well packed in a large cardboard box, but it was inside of a translucent bag with a velcro tie around the top.

When I saw the large "M-Bag" tag attached I finally understood what the thing looks like that I had seen mentioned many times on these forums.

My question is: What uses have you come up with for these bags or do most of you just trash them?

They are good for laundry.....

There are a couple of different types of M-bags.  I have ones made out of a canvas type cloth and also ones that are a plastic type material.

I have used the plastic ones to cover up my tomato plants if there is a risk of frost.

My wife and I saw The Hulk a couple of weeks back.  

We both liked it, but she didn't notice any of the cameos, or that the main fight scene was shot in downtown Yonge Street, Toronto.  

Almost invariably, if the critics pan a movie, it is worth seeing. If they rave about it, it sucks. This, of course, is due to the narrow-mindedness of critics, who see anything that is not a formulaic Hollywood movie as junk.

Frank, you have to get some better critics.  Mainstream critics are no better than paid advertisers for certain movies; ditto with TV "critics" (has anyone of them ever hated a movie that a actor did a meet and greet for?).  Yeh they suck. But I think the opposite is true in what critics like/dislike in terms of formulaic; critics are way too eager to praise art film dreck because it's "different" than they are to praise something that may be more mainstream.  See, if they praise something that stinks to high heaven, they are "cutting edge" and "brilliant" because unlike the bougioeous unwashed masses (me and you) they can "spot the merit" in such crap.....which justifies their snobbery.  In contrast I think they are way, way too quick to rip a "forumulaic" movie because well, it's so mainstream maybe someone in middle america might actually like it  

Anyway I lean more towards blog-type critics that don't have a personal stock whether or not Nick Cage has lunch with them, or Angelina Jolie might flash a bit of boob at them during an interview.  Those are the only ones you can trust.  I also like Rotten Tomatoes which has never steered me wrong yet.

But cmon now; I can give you at least 100 movies in the last few years that blow dead donkeys, and I guarantee you most critics savaged them.  Critics don't like sitting in a movie theater for the 50th time that year seeing crap anymore than you and I.  Sure I've been taken a couple of times; but generally when 9 out of 10 critics detest a movie, it's for a good reason.  "You Don't Mess with the Zohan", "The Love Guru", and "The Happening" are all getting nuked by critics....and I'm not going to spend a dime on any of the trio.  Tell me I'm missing a great flick there somewhere????  

However, I'll give you two the critics steered me way, way wrong on: "Throw Momma From the Train" was given rave reviews, I would have walked out had I been able (someone else drove us to the movies to see it) it was so awful; "Last Action Hero" was savaged by the critics, when I finally saw it on cable years later, I didn't understand what all the fuss was about, it wasn't half bad.

You seen the YouTube video that shortens it down to about 10 minutes of the worst bits of it?  Showed it to the SO once.  Her comment was along the lines of "these scenes weren't actually in the film, were they?"
