A Spellcraft & Swordplay box set was sold recently (for around 90$ but I totally forgot to bid on it :( )

I'm almost afraid to post this, since I have a feeling I'm still missing something.  But I think (hope!) this is the complete run of first edition Harn.

So, anyone see anything missing?  >>fingers crossed emoticon<<

Nice to see a complete set!  Thanks for sharing.

And of course with the Acaeum gang, "No Harn, no foul!" :)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

Oh my yes.  Depends exactly what you're going after, but for one, no Ivinia box.  Then there's HarnMaster stuff.  Then there are editions/printings/variations.  So let me know where you want to draw the line, and I'll get you sorted out.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

I had a feeling you'd have some thoughts on this, Steve.

I forgot to include my Invinia box.  But at least I do have that.

There's obviously a huge amount of Harn material out there.  I really meant this to just be the first edition, first printings.  If we limit it to that, what am I missing?

Nicely done Bracton!  Are you collecting the digest magic supplements?

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Was the first print of Harn really the boxed set?  I'm pretty sure I have a plastic folder version (but would have to dig it out).

yes, the 1st print is colored paper (not very thick) slightly oversized folder, such that, much like PVQ's, it's more difficult to find one in NM or better shape. Unless of course one purchased it, isolated it immediately to cut off contamination from the outside world (i.e. your friends who wanted to look at it) and sealed it.

Wow, tough crowd.

I have the black folder Harn, which I now understand is later than a version where the cover is basically just Harn map.  Does the interior of the first version include the two booklets, Harnview and Harndex, or is it different?  And if they are the same booklets, are there any differences?  The books in the black folder version don't indicate that they are second printings.

As to the various magic supplements, I had thought they were later than the second printing HarnMaster (my intended cut-off date), but that isn't the case . . . so onto the list they go.  Along with a number of other missing pieces.  The journey continues.

No apologies necessary.  Just the momentary joy of a sense of completion crashing upon the rocks of reality, bursting into flames, and sinking beneath the waves.   :P

Don't worry Bracton, we've all been there... here for instance, I was feeling pretty good about "completing" HF.... at least now it's a bit 'completer' :)
