(for me, yes to the former, nay to the latter, although it is a sad and tragic fact of life that those who play AD&D must relive the First Day of April all month long, for the rest of their lives. this can be a harrowing experience, or one reminiscent of French kissing with a faerie *Dragon*, depending on one's particular per spective :
in the case of the Foreign Editions, by now, I guess that "& one's present level of discernment, humour, common sense, creativity, ea." could be added to the above, after the word spective).

There was a reason that I posted that one at DF, and not at Acaeum.

Interestingly, the Acaeum folks (yes, there is some crossover) were more per spicacious than those at DF
(everyone there seemed to have missed the point).
(I guess that there are more Italian posters at the Acaeum forums.
Yikes. I know I am going to get in trouble for this. What was that song in 'The Breakfast Club' movie? The one that goes ... 'I woke up this morning, and I got myself a mead'?)

I *won't* answer any more questions *here*, as I don't feel it is an appropriate forum (DF being the closest thing to a library that D&D/AD&D has), but if a thread is started over at DF, hopefully I'll see it, and (hopefully, for some, but maybe not for others) resist the tempation to write.

Library at DF?

Oh Boy...........  

Now the joke's on me. I previewed that post about 5 times, with the nagging feeling that there was something there that wasn't perfect.

DF & Acaeum got reversed.

A funny mistake, given the context.
But, sala (that would be the opposite of alas), perhaps a fortuitous one, as it can be used to re-emphasize the differences between DF & Acaeum (both awesome sites in their own different ways).

*Acaeum* is the closest thing to a library that D&D/AD&D has. I used to study library science, and I remember being quite impressed by Acaeum when I first encountered it a few years back. Acaeum is an excellent reference, one that me and many others rely on. DF has more of an emphasis on creative work, and is the closest thing to an active Sage Advice for the AD&D game. The accumlated knowledge 1E and experience over there is astounding.

The above said, don't let me get in the way of the thread: there's no rule against being creative in a library, and if you want to TALK LOUD, I don't think anyone here has a problem with it (if you're more comfortable in the garden, which all good libraries should have, then that's a viable option, as it's spring for many of us around the world).

However, there has been some concern among the Acaeum staff about strange graffiti appearing in the washroom stalls. Writing and creativity are great things, but some folks retreat to the jakes for a temporary sanctuary from the hectic world, and the last thing that most normal people need to see is a bibliography that will endenger a week or more of disturbed perplextion, much less full-color reproductions of the covers of some of the esteemed titles that have been mentioned on this thread.
