We also now have a local gamestore (Generation X) willing to work a 25% discount to any NTRPG con attende wearing a badge. Yes, we will have badges even though the convention is free..and you can only get badges if you pre-register.  A dastardly ploy on our part to get people to pre-register so we can have some kind of head count.

Since it's only March no hurry,  but it does help to plan ahead, if anyone wants to attend and run a game let us know so we can set up "events". Although any sort of gaming (especially board gaming) is fine and encouraged, we want to keep an "old school" theme if we can for the festivities.  In that vein, if you are attending and wish to referee a old school boardgame or roleplaying session please let us know so we can begin planning. I have one or two Acaeum-related D&D games I'm looking at running, and I have several boxes of older boardgames that I am going to bring depending on interest.  I'd say Talisman and Arkham Horor (old school versions, natch) are definitely on the table, as well as some sort of Axis and Allies game (pretty much the only boardgame my brothers will play). However, we would definitely be in the market for anyone wanting to run one of the following games:

A Castles and Crusades scenario;
A Basic D&D (Holmes, Moldvay, or Mentzer set rules) low level scenario;
Any simulacrum game scenario, particularly OSRIC, Labyrinth Lord, or Basic Fantasy Roleplaying;
A classic Judges' Guild scenario;
A classic 1E scenario run from the actual module itself (it would be very cool to see the old DM screen and module cover sitting there on the table!);
Miniature game using a version of the Chainmail rules.

Way too tempting, Mike. Let me mull it over. Like I said in my PM, I have a week-long camping trip June 13-22, but I may be able to swing it. That's a pretty straight shot up I35. I may also be able to cough up some raffle prizes for the cause (regardless if I attend or not).

We currently have 12 people registered for the conference... not bad with 3 months to go :)

Seems all 12 are coming to the house for free food, beer and margaritas

Looks like 8 are making the the Reaper Tour, and only 5 are looking to do the early breakfast before the tour :)

Glad to see we are getting some traction.

Please fill your the registration form to be sure you get a Badge :)

That means you to KingO'Pain

Yup -- tho why I'm going to Texas in the summer is prolly hard to fathom.

Must be for the unique chance of meeting Doug. ;>

Very cool! PDT_Armataz_01_34

June won't be so bad. It'll barely be 105º by then!

Hey, let me know if you guys would like something special for C&C at the con. I'll do all I can for it, since I won't be attending.

You might be disappointed.... :D

You've already met John Lile and I, and it's frankly downhill from there.... :cry:

Seriously though can't wait to see you again Frank.  And don't worry, first week in June is just "early" summer here...shouldn't be much above 100 or so...... :wink:

Now if only Frank hadn't of sold the bakery.....dang it!  We could have had some delicious goodies to munch on while gaming.

One thing I would suggest is perhaps a signed copy of the first Issue of the Crusader Magazine (If one can be found, as they are OUT of STOCK according to the Troll Lords Web Site).
Perhaps offer it as a door prize, or possibly one of the items being offered for the Raffle, which would derfray some of the cost for the hosts.

Perhaps even send a few copies of all the Journal issues produced thus far for some of the attendees to purchase.
I would purchase some of them.

I have been procrastinating for months about buying back issues and signing up for future issues.

Maybe have a Sign up for the C&C Society too.
Twenty folks attending so far and perhaps only a few of them are members right now.
