£/$ is causing British buyers problems

Now is the time to buy in bulk all those things  that will be highly priced in the future. Particularily seeing as most people are selling at close to what they bought things for in 2005, or at a loss, as a result of the credit squeeze. This is a very good time to be buying into the collectables market. Fortune favours the brave.


This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

By "now", do you mean literally now and the next two months? Or do you forsee 2009 as being even better?

Hi,

interestingly, just got my weekly email from the main RPG and Boardgames distributor for the UK.

To cut a long story short, nearly all games will see a 30% rise in cost in the UK in the nest month, due to the exchange rate.

So if theres anything NEW that you want from a shop, buy it NOW.

No, I mean now as in over the next six weeks. Weed out the quality from the majority of the shite and put it away as an investment. Over the coming year or so, companies will disappear. Print runs will be smaller, and the quality products will become rare a lot quicker than in previous years. The trick is to identify what to buy early enough and buy enough of them so that when demand picks up you can supply the market at a cost that suits you.
