well if i can sort things next year, around my mongol rally thing, i am planning to come to texas (unless i go to gencon again)...if so, i will bring my books and we can have a gaming weekend

My wife and I have a house that is far too big for two people (four bedrooms) so you guys would be welcome here.  Unfortunately we have Bacon Cheesburgers for breakfast, Tex Mex for lunch, and cajun shrimp and rice for dinner every night here at the Casa.  That's when we aren't eating Pizza.  We could try to fit in a vegetable for you guys.

Or you could stay with Kingofpain and hit his liquor cabinet instead.  And fight with his four cats for scraps of food  

Hell if you guys came into town I bet we could get Grodog to drive down from Kansas and maybe a few nearby Acaeum members to take the trip to Big D. We could have our own mini-Con...with Al running Tegel Manor as the main event

We have room inside and out, and I have a spare house 2 miles away (will be empty after October and it'll stay that way) that's for visiting company when we run out of room...

As for Al or anyone else needing a place to stay....no problem.  We have a spare bedroom that is just down the hall from my office/gameroom/library/sanctum.  If you cant sleep, there is always something interesting to read.  And I will be more than happy to smoke up some real Texas brisket.  If you think biscuits and gravy is good, you havent lived until you have eaten beef slow smoked for ten hours.

If you're going to make brisket, the visitors can stay at my house, I'll come and sleep in the extra bedroom. I'll use your Chainmail as a pillow, I've heard they are extra cushiony and soft.....

Next year, guys.  I want some authentic Texas barbeque.  Brisket sounds wonderful.  Chainmail pillows sounds wonderful.  Bacan cheesburgers for breakfast.........well, hell, when in Rome.

I know the first post stated 800-1600, but......What time is appropriate?

Let's see, I got up Tue morning at 0430, worked all day, played computer games all night (no sleep). Worked all day Wed, went to bed at 0330 Thur morning, got up at 0700 today, will be up until about 0100 tonight, backup at 0500 tomorrow, have friends over at 1800 Fri night to play BattleLore until about midnight, then a 1-2 hour game with a friend staying over, so to bed at 0200 Sat morning, then up again around 0600...

so 0800 is very appropriate for me.

I plan to have the first food off the grill by 0900, so don't eat breakfast before you come

We gotta get some more people down here next year when we do this again.  Just got home a bit ago and we had a really fun time.  Good food, good beer, and yakking it up with a bunch of fun people never hurts either.  Thanks again Doug!
