Sorry to have to announce this, but we've lost two special guests in the last 24 hours.  Both had to cancel their NTRPG con appearances due to work-related issues.

John Rateliff

Jeff Easley

Hopefully we will have both gentlemen back for next year's con!

BTW we have an "unannounced" guest.  His games are on the grid but his name is not there....Doug wants to be mysterious.  If  you look through the games listed on the game grid and find the two games he's running, you might be able to guess who he is!

Good news for me - I hope to book my rooms and tickets tonight!!  :D

Any suggestions on what games to try to get into that are still available?

Looking forward to seeing you there, Craig.  And don't worry; all of the events are still available.  Event registration isn't until midnight April 15.

It is almost official now - flight and hotel are booked.  I was about to snag my con ticket and I saw the Squeaky Cage Tickets.  I understand it is a raffle, but I'm curious to what is being raffled?  Can someone enlighten the newbie?

For those looking for a room, the hotel slots are booked if try to stay thru Monday.  If you change the date to leaving Sunday all is good.   :)

I'm currently set to arrive around lunch time on Thursday and head out Sunday evening.  I'm stoked!

Craig, well it looks like we'll both be newbies there this year.  I just booked my hotel - same thing, Thursday to Sunday.  This will likely be my only Con this year so I'm going to play everything I can!

I'm still watching flights but will likely pull the trigger by the end of day.

I'm hoping to run a few games for my game system (for those that are interested), and *might* be convinced to print a NTRPGCon exclusive (probably BECMI, 1E or 5E) if there's interest.

Looking forward to the trip!!

Thom

Great,  Thom! Looking forward to meeting you. This will probably be my only con this year as well so I'm going to try to do some serious gaming too.

And I thought a NTRPGCon exclusive would be a given! :D (put me down for two copies! Lol)

All,

I've submitted my two events to Mike and I'm waiting to hear back if they can fit them in somewhere.  If they don't make it in the gaming grid for one reason or another, I'm still planning on running them.  Here are their descriptions:  ** EDIT:  changed the name of the first adventure ***

Game Title :  The Great Minecart Race
Game System : ThrowiGames Simple Roleplaying System (TSRS)
Number of Players : 4
Pregens/Level of Characters: Pregens Provided
World Setting: Terra Minor (TSRS world)
Time Needed: 3-4 Hours

Game Info:  An adventure that challenges the players to use their wits and abilities to their fullest.  It is also a great chance for new players to test this system -- new players are welcome, no experience with TSRS is necessary.  Players will receive a free printed copy of the adventure at the end of the session.  This adventure is a NTRPGCon Exclusive (the book will have crossover statistics for 1e/5e).

Short Description:  The annual festival in a nearby town has added a new event that has the region buzzing with excitement!  Teams of risk-takers will ride minecarts at breakneck speeds down in to the bowels of a nearby mountain to retrieve a wooden token -- the first team to return to the surface with their token wins one thousand pieces of silver!  Who will win the Great Minecart Race?

--

Game Title :  Scavenge the Sands
Game System : ThrowiGames Simple Roleplaying System (TSRS) -- Sci-Fi Variant, playtest
Number of Players : 2-4
Pregens/Level of Characters: Pregens Provided
World Setting:  Post Apocalyptic Earth, somewhere in New Mexico many years from now
Time Needed: 3-4 Hours

Game Info:  A post-apocolyptic adventure using the new TSRS Sci-Fi rules variant.  New players are welcome, no experience with TSRS is necessary.  Players will receive a free printed copy of the adventure at the end of the session.

Short Description:  Traveling for months in unfamiliar lands, the adventurers and their families have finally secured a water source.  Food however, is the same persistent problem.  After a recent windstorm, someone spotted a strange hill to the north -- a sandy dune with many doors, seemingly abandoned... what could this be?  You have been selected to scout this new area, to search for food and more importantly, threats to your new encampment.  Are you ready to Scavenge the Sands?

Well, after waiting for flights to go back down (they were creeping up and up each day), I found a non stop from CT to TX for about $100 less than the going rate!  Booked.

Now I can just focus on writing the exclusive(s)...
