To elaborate a little on what Badmike said: keep the bag small.  You will see people hauling around monster bags that contain their entire game collection plus the swag they've acquired.  These people will invariably have serious back problems by Saturday.  Lockers are a good option, but can be very hard to come by; most of them are claimed by Wednesday, so the earlier you can get there to grab one, the better.

For the most part we don't differentiate RPG items by manufacturer. They comprise a large part of the offerings (dunno the exact % of the 11k+ items), so common RPGs are often brought up during undesignated/general timeslots. Sometimes indie RPGs gets put into General RPG, and may come up at 9:01 am Thurs instead of the 'hot stuff' periods in the evenings. We try to review the checked-in items asap, to sort out rarities mistakenly filed with commons, but things slip thru; there are 50 volunteer staff, and lots of them are ignorant about collectible status.

We DO tell sellers to mark the tags if they think something is rare or unusual, but that's not very common; most sellers haven't a clue.

be sure to come to the auction hall friday night. as has been mentioned, there will be a large acaeum contingent there. frank will be auctioning, i'll be over behind the glass cases somewhere. come say hi!

I'm driving back so I'll miss the climax, but I'll definitely will stay 7ish to say hi.

I've oft wished I could hang out with the crazies (aka Acaeum members) in the auction room.
Looks like fun.
But I'm stuck onstage instead.
Every year for 30 years now. ('cept the 2 when the PoG was afraid of me and banned me.)

In 8 years I'll be 70, looking at GenCon, and deciding whether I can still carry the show.
Might be a good time to retire. Let's plan a BIG party for 2021.

That was Thursday though. Saturday is an entirely different beast.  You might be ok with registration lines by noon but will call would probably be very short if a line at all.
