This one is more of a robbery via shipping method than a rediculous price issue.


His starting bid (at $24.99) is cheap for 15 older Dungeon Magazines, but shipping is insanely high for what SHOULD be sent via media mail.


Apparently this seller Only ships via Priority Mail.


(I looked at some of his other listings too, and ALL of those I looked at list ONLY Priority Mail for Shipping)


Seller is Charging $29.10 to send 15 magazines inside the USA.....

The price is probably way high for Priority though - I thought it was $10 for a flat rate box that those magazines would probably fit into.

It might be a tight squeeze to fit them all in regular flat rate box for $10, however they should fit into a large flat rate box for $14.  Even just regular Priority mail only comes in at $15 from the east coast all the way to west coast.  

That said, you can still ship them Media Mail with tracking as well, there is nothing that precludes you from doing so.

I didn't realize you could get tracking for media mail.

checked back + last bulk lot 100 mods by USPS was 2 boxes media mail + $500 insurance for $22.62 total postage

I would have NO trouble telling any mail employee that and have done so in the past.

The other thing that's important to remember is that the older Dungeon mags have almost no advertising.  There are card inserts (which you can remove ) and a back cover add or something like that, and that's about it.  The older Dungeon issues are hardly magazines in the traditional sense, but Postal workers are notoriously picky about rules like this, so you are running a risk and may be technically in violation, I believe, if you ship them by Media Mail.  I think the whole, "the ads are no longer valid" won't fly with some postal workers, although I thought it was when I first started shipping these things.  The bottom line is that you can find postal workers who will hold a variety of different views on the matter, so checking out different post office employees could save you significantly on shipping.
