No worries Jason, I was aware of the woodgrains and black boxes. I was also aware of the prices they go for, out of my league. These white boxes I've seen cheaper but I've missed them every time so far, so a BIN was a handy way to cut to the chase - or cut out the chase altogether more like. However I didn't know there were multiple print runs of the white box, I thought there was just the one. So I'd be interested to know how you can tell the various print runs apart.

The 2nd print white box has the TSR wizard, this cream box has the GK logo.

Ya, as far as I know there are just the 2 white boxes (GK logo and wizard logo).  With the woodgrain boxes there is a hodge podge of different books, some with 1 or 2 Guidon Games books, some with all TSR books, some with the different grains of woodgrain, etc.

With Guidon Games, it looks like there was an initial printing, then they found some errors and started included 3 errata sheets, and then a 2nd printing with the corrections made.

Wow, these are really rare this year. That is only the 720th one to hit the block.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

white box

I thought this particular box (I remember the stain) was sold just last week?  Was anybody else watching that auction?

yup the exact same OCE set and the same books with the dice, on top of the reference sheets, all the same pictures, all of it were in a listing last week.

I did not watch to the end though so I do not know if it sold.

Perhaps the buyer backed out?

It looks to me like it is a real nice set and complete with DICE even.

(Almost unheard of, if they are original).

The Box is a bit concaved at the top, but so many are far worse than that one.

The previous auction for it ended with no bids:

The guy did the right thing, dramaticly reducing his starting bid when he relisted.

I'm surprised he didn't get any bids.  With the free shipping, I'd say that wasn't a bad price.

yes, If I had been watching it at the end, it would not have been re-listed.
$100 inclusive of S/H is very much under the average for the past year for an OCE in good condition.

I bet it sells this time though, for more than his starting price last time too.

Too many folks here have seen it now and will be watching it.

There have been a glut of them on ebay recently. A couple up for auction every week it seems like. But I think if he'd started at .99c or even $9.99 he wouldn't have needed to relist it.
