I would have expected the 1980 catalog to be more valuable, but maybe it's not:

On the other hand, it seems like prices have been falling recently from their inflated highs.

This is a crazy shipping cost for such a small item.

That must be a mistake.  Messaging the seller.

The seller responded back to me and graciously explained that the shipping from Hungary is very expensive.  He even provided a snapshot of the shipping cost for a similar item that was shipped recently.  Evidently, it's quite expensive to ship items from Hungary!

The seller also offered another dice set that they have, which is not 'mint', but it is sealed, for the same price, with free shipping.  I'm not in the market for one, but perhaps another Acaeum member is.  If so, the seller would likely honor that offer.

I was trying to figure out from this picture what was pushing the sellers price to 9,500 bucks.  Are there gems in here I'm not seeing? I don't know any valuations of the JG materials.

Looks like a couple thousand worth of stuff if sold individually?

Not even. This is twice a Noble Knight price (which is three times normal price). Given the potential condition issues (is the F-115 complete?) I wouldn't pay $1500 for this lot.

Shrink is not a condition

I agree for the overall thought on pricing, however there is a small gem i the lot: the red book of nal by adversary games... you come across this title less than once in a year i'd say...
...and there are also some interesting zines: two are 'phantasy crossroads', the other two do not show the title...

Sounds like some bullshit to me, especially since he was willing to ship another item of (presumably) the same size for free after you inquired.

Sometimes these sellers bank on the buyer not reading the fine print, that includes shipping costs.

Seller relisted the item for $50 bucks less and $40 less shipping.  It sold pretty much instantly.

At nearly 10X the price it would have had a decade ago.

A very nice D1-2 in shrink.  I wonder how long ago it was purchased from NK for only $19.95.  My guess would be around the late 90's.

That price tag is awesome… certainly no later than the very early 2000s because I don’t think I’ve ever seen a nkg sticker with a price.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Not sure if I have either, but I have gotten vintage games from Noble Knight with their own stickers applied to the original packaging. How much more would this item be worth without the non-removable NKG sticker?
