It is weird that i didn't read any discussion here about this book!
I'd like to hear the educated opinion of Jon as this book seems to be a competitor of the Playing at the world 2nd ed!

I have read both and find “Blackmoor Foundations” to be more supplementary than competing with “Playing at the World 2E.” I also find it more similar to “The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons” (TMODD). “Blackmoor Foundations” is 104 pages, 60 of which are scans of documents. It expands on pages 54-70 of TMODD and could also be supplemental to Chapter 11 of “Playing at The World 2E.” I understand that both TMODD and “Playing at the World 2E” already cover a vast amount of material and cannot include everything, however, I did feel that scans of the First Fantasy Campaign (FFC) would have been helpful in TMODD for those unfamiliar with it but, again, which of the 92 pages of FFC should be included? I do appreciate Jon’s meticulous references that lead a person to these other works including Arneson’s “Adventures in Fantasy” game (155 pages of content in 3 booklets) and have personally read dozens of books, zines, and articles I had never previously heard of because of his writings. If a person is further interested in Arneson’s campaign I believe, “The Lost Dungeons of Tonisborg” by Greg Svenson provide another glimpse.

Bought the Szass Tam one as I am a Forgotten Realms guy and I liked the look of him. Luckily for me I am not a completionist so that itch is well and truly scratched.

Terrible situation in GA.  I’m glad your area wasn't decimated.  Be safe out there, crazy conditions are everywhere especially with that chemical plant fire going on right now.

We got about six or seven inches of rain, but counties to the east and west got double that. The winds were never that bad, although news reports showed severe winds to the east and west of us. It’s like the storm parted around most of Macon. Counties to the east of us were hit particularly hard.  I'm deploying tomorrow to Alma, GA (Southeast GA) on a chainsaw team to provide disaster relief.  We won't have electricity or phone service.  Water service is supposed to come back tomorrow.  Prayers appreciated.

That would depend on who modified it and how it was modified.
If EGG broke his mug at GenCon and someone salvaged it and had him sign it, it could be argued that it had value.
If EGG signed a PHB at GenCon and someone modified it on the train home by tearing off the covers and colouring in the pictures, it could be argued that it had no value, unless maybe that 'someone' was Brian Blume.
So what is the context?

In that case, generally the value increases in my experience.
It depends on who, and also signiature vs. personalisation.
However there are exceptions...
The signed copy of DCC 3.5 Haunted Lighthouse for example - Almost all of them I have seen have been siged by Erol Otis or Dave Arneson - An unsigned copy seems to be a rarity in what comes up for sale, and I don't recall seeing one signed by both. Unsually one or the other.
I'm sure those collectors on here who look out for the exceptional items will be able to provide a perspective, having already navigated the 'how many signed items to I really want in my collection' stage on their way towards the top teir.

Likely for $400-500, maybe more since there haven't been many of them come up for public sale in recent times.

I think I've only seen a couple of unsigned ones in the last 10-15 years.  There could have been others sold, but the last one I have a record of selling on eBay was for $331.76 in October, 2009.

The signed versions have typically sold for around $300-400.
