This is really cool.  I have never seen a gazetteer boxed set.  Price seems out there but I have no idea about its rarity.

They might come up for sale about once a year. I bought one in nicer condition for 63500 yen in December 2020.

It might sell, but the lot is priced very high.  I would be surprised if it sells for that much.  The seller does have a "Make Offer" option, which is most likely where this lot will end up.

Not I; I have no such control over eBay auctions.  Sometimes my code does erroneously report an item as "sold" when in fact it was pulled, though.

It's possible too that the buyer backed out, and considering how quickly it sold, the seller may have re-thought his Buy-it-Now price.

Sorry my mistake - I shoudlnt have capitalised F in Foul for emphasis like a Fool.

I suppose they just put it up too cheap. Was going to buy it as in the market as looked like a good price but wary as I have 0 experience with that stuff (wee warriors, ultra-early-modules) and dont want to get scammed.

That definitely was a good price.  Even the relisted price was really good.

The seller lost a lot of money by trying to second-guess the value.  They should have just listed it as an auction, with a low starting price, and they likely would have made a lot more.

That was the 6th printing of PotVQ.  They are rather rare.  Check out the valuations here:

What gave me pause is this, thinking noble knight are selling an earlier version not that much more expensive so its probably not that great of a deal. But looking now I see that the 6th is worth a lot more than the 5th. Oh well...

Dont necessarily want to have that much money tied up for a later (but scarcer) version anyway.
