There were two sets, each containing three plaques.

Nothing too crazy but still amazingly welcome! I work at a retail establishment in a retail plaza. There are a few "thrift stores" in the plaza and when they don't take items we get "random dumpers" who throw their unwanted items in our dumpsters. While taking out some cardboard I noticed a bunch of books tossed into the cardboard dumpster. Sitting right on top for all the world to view, near pristine copies of the 1st Ed Dungeon Master's Guide and Player's Handbook! Nothing special, the DMG is the Revised print 1979 and the PH a 6th print. It was sprinkling that day so they got some minor moisture staining and the owner wrote their name on both front and back covers. Otherwise eminently playable copies with nice bright covers. What I call a "real life treasure find." Sadly no MM but I'm not going to complain :-)
