Wow 8O

There are a couple of nice (printings) in ths lot, but this price really shocked me. T&T stuff sometimes does well, but overall this might be $150 auction.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I have sold good condition hardbacks for £20.  As a set these do look pretty good.  Last year when £1 = $2 it would have worked out at $120.  If they were in the UK I would have paid quite a bit for them; just for the condition.

There is no comparing T&T stuff to Merp...

I looked really hard at that T&T auction again...I still do not see the value. Not even close.

Why did this go for $31 instead of $5?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0026193739

It's an incomplete 1st edition AD&D Forgotten Realms boxed set: with no box and one map missing.

Unless the two competing buyers knew that there was a copy of Secret of the Sages tucked in as well.

I must be missing something...I'm surprised this is going for so much, and there's still 12 hours left on the auction.  I thought these were going in the $40-$50 range on Ebay, especially since it's a later print with the TSR Logo.  Heck, even Troll and Toad has it for less than half of this auction price.

Is the bonus Dragon Mag worth the extra $60? 8O

... I looked back at the auction bidders, and they've got a mini-war going on between a 0 and 2 feedback bidder.  I wonder if it's a shill game...

Am I just ingorant to what this is worth, or is this high for this item?  What is a reasonable price for this?  I would like a complete (intact) copy, but have no idea what is considered a sane price after seeing this auction.  lol  ;)

A little high maybe but not too much....these were designed to be cut up so to find one that has survived without damage is reasonably rare.  However it could be that there is a box of SW AC3 sitting in somebodys loft which will be sold for next to nothing.

Looks like its in decent nick.  Seems to be that any core rulebooks are going well at the moment.  Or the seller could have got lucky with a nooby ebayer.....

He's right.  That's my auction by the way, and it is in great condition.  The bidder hasn't paid yet and if he doesn't come through, I'll ask if you'd like it. 8)

Price seems about right. However, I do see these going up in the next couple years, if not this year. They do not come up very often and when they do, they are almost always missing pieces.

I know it seems a little high for a simple D&D module/accessory but this item is not as scarce as a B10, but it is not far off. The AC 3/5 (supposed to be AC 8) is even more difficult to find, let alone intact.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Ah!  Yes, please consider me interested if the buyer doesn't come through.  :D  I guess I had no idea that this item was this rare.  I bought one when I was a kid... but I cut it up, like many did, it seems.  lol  ;)
