I'd think Paul was busy with other obligations.  I haven't seen anything from the Collector's Trove for some time.

Selling on eBay isn't anywhere as difficult as it once was.  But I understand why it's been called feeBay for awhile now.  

I don't believe he was ever on Twitter.  He is (or was) on Facebook.

Not really considering the sale is between the the buyer and another entity calling himself Clay.74 purporting to be someone who is not James Ward but 'a good friend'. Whoever buys is buying with all the protection of eBay and their credit card and the full might of the litigious systems that can be brought to bear if things go wrong.

For international buyers things are a bit more sketchy unless you're in the UK in which case you can buy, complain, send it back in a bag of water and still be entitled to a full refund under UK distance selling laws.

If a buyer is disappointed it is their own fault.

Clay.74 clearly knows and understands that he is listing things that require honesty, clarity, and assurance that James Ward isn't trying to fleece people with obscure references to a passing phase where he once contributed to D&D and is not trying to dupe the gullible by throwing his name around and sell the scrap paper that never quite made it into the garbage. Clarity, honesty, integrity, an accurate description of what the seller was selling in James Ward's is what is missing, and it is telling that James selected to sell his residue in this manner, with this seller, and with this level of clarity and openness.

I have no issue with then selling in this manner per se. Caveat emptor and all that. But, rightly or wrongly, I do read it as telling of James Ward's present opinion of the community at large. Like I said before, it's probably not Clay's fault. He's probably just a bellend.

They do look like authentic old photocopies nonetheless. Not much different from 90% of the ‘tourneys’ that circulate as genuine. The majority of what the collecting community deems to be old manuscripts are just old photocopies run off at local copy shops, hotel guest services at conventions, and various offices. A photocopy is a photocopy, with or without someone’s notes on them. The age of the photocopy and the opinion of the buyer as to the importance of the person who may have left notes in the margin appears to be what attributes the value. As regards rare, or unique, those things are purely arbitrary and opinion when it comes to photocopies. They are rare or unique all the way until the next one comes out. Reminds me of Steve Marsh’s playtest copy of City of the Revenant. It was unique all the way up until he sold another one a year or two later.

I don’t dispute they are real items, but it’s the lack of clarity as to what you’re getting that seems clouded.

Plus as you say, what’s to stop another copy coming out next month

Yes, you can relist as long as you want to

There is a simple checkbox in eBay to automatically relist if it doesn't sell so the seller doesn't have to do anything.  eBay also gives 200 free listings a month so its easy to maintain a fair sized inventory with little effort or expense.

Just something they home-brewed (i.e. of no significant monetary value) for the sale.
