JohnGaunt wrote:It was published in August 1980 by Dragon Publishing. According to the last page of Dragontales, "Dragon Publishing is a division of TSR Hobbies, Inc. . . . Besides publishing Dragon magazine . . . Dragon Publishing is also the exclusive North American distributor for the British gaming magazines The Wargamer and White Dwarf."

Badmike wrote:It'sa TSR publication from 1980 or so. I've never seen a Dragontales go for very much. I've owned a few in my time, it's a collection of short stories that either appeared in Dragon magazine, or were scheduled to appear and instead packaged in this format (very similar to a Dragon Magazine). IIRC, long time TSR staffer Roger Moore had a story, and then a bunch of people I don't remember. It may be rare, but they seem to turn up with regularlity here and there.Mike B.
Dragontales magazine (fiction compilation put out by Dragon magazine, includes stories by Tom Moldvay and Roger Moore) - interior pages are generally clean, but the cover is fugly. Front cover has some gunk on it (toothpaste? Shocked ) and the back cover has heavy scuffing and waviness. Bought this at a used bookstore in crunchy Bellingham, WA.
