I had that same operation done about 10 years ago. If you’re lucky, they’ll install titanium mesh to “patch” the tear. That’s what they used on me and I’ve felt like Steve Austin ever since, lol. Good luck!

Titanium is non-magnetic so it very rarely sets off standard metal detectors.

My abdominal tear was only a little over a centimeter, so no mesh required. I'm back home and feeling pretty good. I have some Percocet on hand if things get painful. Thanks for all the prayers and well-wishes. I deeply appreciate it. The only bad thing is that I can't lift anything over 15 pounds for six weeks!

Truth is worth finding and life is too short to work for money.

You should have timed the surgery better so you could take it easy at NTX, Chris

Haven't heard of anyone making dice over 15 pounds yet, so you should be ok there too!

Might want stick to pdfs and paperbacks on your reading material for a little while though
