The eBay auction has been Ended because it's entirely a file copy, no original typing.
Shame.

Jim has posted on FB that he took another look after all of the questions, and confirmed that TSR sent him back a photocopy, not his original manuscript. As a result, they pulled the auction. He says it will be relisted tomorrow, with a corrected description.

Agreed. Jim seems quite diligent with his items. Ive bought quite a few items from his hoard of late and have been quite pleased with them and the individual(s) selling them.

I concur. I wouldn't be surprised if the new listing doesn't still go for $10k+

Makes me wonder if the the original manuscript is in the vaults somewhere at WOTC or if it disappeared when TSR wound down operations.

Sometimes I forget the timelines involved, and that everyone has to start somewhere, and not just arrive on the scene fully developed.

Kudos to Jean for breaking out of the stereotypical "office girl" role and becoming more.

I'd be hugely surprised if it did. Too much risk, unless you valued the original at 30-40k. What about if some copy editor pulls out a manuscript or two?

Market truly insane if photocopies that happen to be stored by the author go for more than 4k.

Given the market has actually gone crazy though, we likely see 7-8k.

I was told there was one photocopier at that time, in one of the Blume's offices.

Is it 4th printing I wonder? I thought that 4th booklets had prices on the covers. Still, they look in good condition.

As an aside, a nice outdoor presentation, I would like to see more of that. Although I would ditch the garden gravel for turf, paving or deck. The stones get everywhere and its harder to clean up fox poo (reminds me I have to mow the lawn today).

Yes, this appears to be a 5th print. Collection is overpriced, IMO.
