Hope you're knee's doing well, Al?  My MiL had one of those done, as well as a shoulder.  Did they give you bionic vision too? ;)

benjoshua wrote in Random Thoughts or OT Chit-Chat Thread:My wife and I recently returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands!  As a biology major, I'd always wanted to visit there, and the reality beat my expectations.  97% of the islands are undeveloped, and it was like traveling back in time.  Many of the creatures, like the marine iguanas, rays, sharks and giant tortoises, had a prehistoric look to them.  My favorite activity was snorkeling, which we did almost every day.  I was fortunate enough to swim just a few feet away from a eight foot long hammerhead, a truly awe inspiring site.  Trips like these give me an appreciation for different and unusual worlds.  The experience will be helpful when I run adventures like Isle of Dread, for example.   8)

Welcome back, Al. How did the bookshop thing go? How are you making your living these days?
Last I heard RJK was living in Spain, although something on another forum suggested he may have returned to the US. Someone here is in contact because they re-released RJK’s Living Room last summer.
I sold my collection back in 2015 and had a bit of a hiatus myself, so I mostly just loiter around looking at all the money I left on the table by selling up when I did, and hunting down the odd missing thing that I want to read.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Hey mate

Oh nice so hes still with us. Overjoyed to hear that!!!

Shop. Closed in 2018....had a huge flood, so took advantage of circumstances as wife not well etc. I still dabble in books of course.

I still have some things....will prb sell at some point...but we shall see. I always enjoyed the company of people on here, rather than the items.
Sitting in the gencon auction outbidding each other is still, to this day, one of the most hilarious things ever.

Good too see you are well matey.

Al

  Isn't that what 'loitering' is?
That why countries have laws against loitering in public?

So far as I know, Rob’s alive and well in Corsica, Al. He’s happily married, and mostly-shifted over to work on fiction, screenplays, and non-fiction. But he’s still not left gaming completely, yet.

We were there February 5-12, so we were there after the eruption happened.  We didn't see any significant smoke or volcanic activity.  In fact, we didn't visit that island, Isabella, at all, even though we were all around it.  Our cruise focused more on hiking and snorkeling, but volcanic rock was everywhere, and I personally found the geology fascinating.  8)
