Doesn't say so in the title but this is from the Jim Ward inventory, which surely adds something to the value.

The final sales prices for those were bargains.  I suspect that the potential fact that they wouldn't ship to the U.S. might have been a factor.

It's certainly adding something to the price, if not the value.

I would agree. Jim Ward’s certificate of authenticity for seemingly random TSR products isn’t as interesting to me as something he wrote or contributed to.

I just picked up TWO copies of The Rod of Seven Parts for less than $10 each (from Thriftbooks).

I'll post pics when they come in to see if they are as good as they advertised.

Aaaaaand....I'm a dumbass. I bout two copies of The Rod of Seven Parts, only it's the book, not the box set.

Guess that will teach me to read the description better.

Ouch.  Return them if you can, but if you can't, the books might still be worth that much to the right person.

Which books did you receive?  Here are the books that came in the set:

Initiation to Power
The War against Chaos
Might and Menace
Monsters

Did you happen to get any of the six reference cards or maps too?

We've all been there before (at least I have). I got spanked once by 'stock' photos and not the actual item crap...  :x

Whats the ballpark on these (Blanche) things? Is this something that could push towards 500 in mint?

I really havent seen them - though also not in my ebay filters & the like.

I am assuming as regards printing and the colour of the back covers, we just don't really know which came before which - and it could well be that they came out at the same time.

Basic Set Foreign

For prices, I don't track this one closely. But the beat-up copies (including laminated covers etc..) have been getting $100-125 fairly steadily for the last few years. And they often come fairly heavily used. A really nice copy would be easily GBP 300, or maybe more. How do I know? Because I lost out on one that was pretty good, in an auction two years ago (you always remember the ones you nearly won...)

I dont look up for this edition, however it is really hard to find a copy in decent condition... I dont know why but they are often heavily used (with worn cover)...
