Yep. That's LaNasa and his underling scrabbling in the dirt again looking for any scraps.
Snr really fucked up on Jnr's moral compass didn't he?
... and when did LaNasa knight himself? I only just noticed that!
Makes you wonder whether Ernie polishes his sword for him. Lol.

Imagine crowdfunding these grifters just to "own the woke libs", flushing money down the toilet.
After the lawsuit fails and Wonderfilled goes tits up, LaNasa will move onto the next grift and their legions of ignorant grogs will be left holding the bag.

Wonderfilled (run by Stephan Dinehart) and NuTSR (run by Justin LaNasa) are two completely different companies with no real connection. They worked together briefly last summer for a few months before parting.

Which one was renamed? I'm sure the press ran with the idea that Ernie/LaNasa renamed/rebranded.
Either way there's a shedload of immoral begging going on from an individual who already took investors for more than $100K without meeting his obligations.
Still, someone has to teach the wokey snowflake generation about money - helicopter parenting didn't do it - so taking it from them in exchange for the invented moral high ground of pretending they're building something is a lesson that needs to be taught.

Out of curiosity, has EGG Jr. ever done anything with his life in the RPG space?
Does he have a real job outside of his son of Egg persona?
Doctor/Lawyer/Real Estate Agent/Garage Mechanic?
Is there something offline where he brings value to the world around him?
He seems to keep his life private except for this son of Egg thing that he rolls out for money whenever he needs to.

Well, he has dabbled in self described pharmaceutical distribution (late 80's and '90's, I believe).  At some point he became employed by Abbot Labs and worked there long enough to get some type of retirement.  Those were the only two things he ever identified as employment.  Besides working for TSR, Dungeons & Dragons Productions, etc,

'Plans to fulfil Boris Johnson's vow to "level up" neglected parts of the UK have been announced by the government.'
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-60216307

What exactly is the origin of the phrase 'level up'?

I had thought it had its roots in leveling snooker tables. because you can't play both ends in order to level any advantage like you can with a football pitch. But Google places its roots in socialist/communist doctrine. So maybe borrowed from there as part of the Tory-Labour alliance we've seen played out over the past few years here in the UK.

It's the phrase they picked to placate the dumb in society by implying that they would put more money into social programs with a view to delaying the point at which the dumb masses realize that prices are not rising and that in fact the value of the GBP they are working for and being handed for free by the government is in fact becoming worth less. At the moment the dumb masses believe that prices are going up.

'Levelling up' was selected to imply that they would bring the financially illiterate onto a par with the financially literate, simply by giving they more free handouts. It's friendly and cuddly without being condescending, so it's a perfect cover name.

Of course we'd never consider educating the idiots. That is probably the most dangerous things any government could ever do. However, sooner of later the masses will begin to realize there is a difference between the way they assign value to money inside their brain, and the way money is assigned value outside in the real world. That's when the fun happens, and the US is playing the same game, only they are doing it with a pubic who own guns.

Levelling up policy of the Boris Johnson government - Wikipedia

I will leave it to others to comment on the relative merit of the current government's plans. But the broad idea is that the UK (or more specifically England) has been, since the 1970/80s, quite unbalanced in terms of investment, infrastructure and prosperity between the South East & London and a number of Northern regions (think Kings Landing vs Winterfell if you like).

Not sure if you are confusing inflation with the causes of inflation or not.

Not at all.

Inflation is the increase in currency supply.
The cause of inflation is central government currency printing
The symptom of inflation is an increase in the apparent cost of real goods, which is the consequence of the loss of in value of the currency.

The big lie that the uneducated repeat to one another for solace is that the symptom is actually the cause, and the cause is the solution, and in doing so they can continue to keep their heads in the sand until they their children are starving. And then as if by magic they switch their brains back on.

A good bit of misdirection never did any government harm. Divide the populous and make them focus on the trivial. Tell them what they are meant to believe and the majority will believe it because they do not have the patience or equipment to do otherwise.

The next two or three years are going to be interesting. I don’t think people understand what inflation is yet.

Oh they will this year, sadly.  When Carter left office inflation was over 13%.  Regan's fed launched interest rates into space along with his star wars initiatives.  The era of free money will be over and the people with loans or anything tied to the prime rate (see credit cards, variable rate mortgages, student loans, etc.) will get sucker punched in the mouth.  i remember my parents had an 18% mortgage rate on their house during the 80's.  The burden on people ' just getting by' and holding a lot of debt, will become untenable with these hikes and bankruptcies will follow.  Apologies for the gloom and I hope I am wrong.

Well, at least the BoE has begun increasing interest rates here in the UK. Hopefully if we can get a regular interest rate hike going each quarter, we can keep a handle on inflation and keep it below 15%. 15% for a few years is a liveable situation for most, and a good lesson to the feckless and the wilfully ignorant. The nation has been there before, and most of us have lived through it. Populations forget so fast, and never learn anyways. We have been living with free money for two decades and most people have no memory of ever living in a free market economy, so it’s gonna be a wake up call for a lot of folks if things get real in our country in a hurry. A lot of people having to adjust their lives to what they can afford, as opposed to what they think they are entitled to. I never quite understood why people think they are entitled to things they haven’t worked for, but I’m in the minority I suppose.
