Someone found a golden ticket within those books!  Many thanks to Mr. Wonka.

Ah, I think I see. It finished with a Best Offer of $25. Private sale. Set it up so high no one in their right mind would bid, then accept a pre-determined offer from a specific buyer.

And here I was thinking that ~300 Euros for a fourth or fifth print basic set without dice and a box in not-too-good shape was way overpriced... The offer of a 1st print for 3900 $ shows that I´m wrong there, apparently.

I will readily admit that it is a beautiful copy of a 1st print DM's Screen and love that it is getting the "white glove" treatment. But that's a hell of a price.

The Eastern map generally goes for $50-$70 USD without shrink ...so given the perceived value of shrink these days, this doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

It's 5 times more than the same shrink map that closed auction style a week ago. And you'll never find one sold, shrink or not, more than 75.

I agree with Skull. It might never sell (and probably won't sell for that price) but with shrink adding so much to the value of some items, I can easily see a seller trying for the stars on anything they can get their hands on in shrink. The seller can always go back to the item and lower the price later.
That seller, Ingo, has been selling D&D for years. He knows what he's doing and sells stuff all of the time for a lot more than I'm willing to pay - so that doesn't make him wrong.

All you have to do is search for highest price and there are pages of "silliest prices" right now.

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.

They'd probably go for $100 each now...

As I recall, the original BIN was well into four digits. Looks like they lowered it a bit.
