How do you weaponize a time machine?

I went to the see the movie Edge of Tomorrow, and I liked it.  It was, and this doesn't happen often, a smart science fiction movie.  Some sci-fi movies are so out there, you wonder if the director and special effects crew are just messing around, enjoying their toys.  In Edge of Tomorrow, the action and the story grow on you, and there are incremental revelations that keep you on the edge of your seat.  There are holes in the movie for sure.  If the aliens are so smart they can make a time machine, why aren't they smart enough to put it out of reach?  It's not the best sci-fi movie, but it's definitely worth seeing in the movie theater.  

The aliens are sick quick, and the technological upgrades by the military dramatic, so it makes for some intense fight scenes.  My ears were buzzing afterward with all the explosions.  The balance between action, humor and character building was good enough.  The humor was dark but it fit.  The run-time was just under two hours, so it's a good length.  I saw this movie in IMAX and was glad I did.  You are in the movie, flinching as the action happens all around you.  There are no bonus scenes after the credits.  So, how do you weaponize a time machine?  In this movie, you find out.  

benjoshua wrote in Random Thoughts or OT Chit-Chat Thread:I saw the movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, today, and I liked it.  It is a winding, twisting tale, but I never got lost.  I think most everyone knows this is a time travel tale, and those can get quite confusing, but this one mostly makes sense.  Several new X-Men have significantly more action in this movie, in particular, Quicksilver.  There is one sequence where he really shines.  There are a couple of good lines in the movie too.  The special effects are good enough and the actors are good enough.  The villain is not quite bad enough, but he is human enough.  The movie also balances character development and action fairly well.  The main thing they got right in the movie is that they cared as much about the story as the special effects.

I don't know if it comes out in IMAX format, but I hear the 3D version is good.  I however, saw the regular, cheaper version.  Stay after the credits are over for a brief glimpse of the villain in the next X-Men movie.  You'll really have to know your X-Men comics to figure this out without any hints.  I couldn't guess who it was.

All in all, it was good, but not quite as satisfying as some other Marvel movies, like the most recent Captain America movie.  I would definitely say it is worth seeing in the theater.  

I was on vacation last week [Origins 2014], but was able to catch this movie earlier last week.

So I am stuck either starting a new account with zero stars, or calling them with supposed long wait times.

I've called a couple of times in the past month and my wait time was about three minutes or less.  If you can, call during the middle of the day and not in the evenings.

One paragraph caught my eye:

This starter set is the first of several offerings Wizards of the Coast is planning this year. Next up is the Tyranny of Dragons storyline, which will give players their first official chance to battle Tiamat, the five-headed queen of the dragons.

Just for the sake of discussion, DL14 is an adventure where the party is tasked with preventing Takhisis, a five headed, female, god-dragon from entering the world.  And while Takhisis is technically not Tiamat, it could be argued that it is essentially Tiamat.  It should also be noted that, if the characters are successful at closing some magical gate, Takhisis never enters the scene, but if the characters are not successful, supposedly Takhisis enters that world and mops up.  There is no stat block for Takhisis because it is supposedly not needed, but still.  I guess that's why they say, "first official chance to battle Tiamat..."   

I just read somewhere that Tiamat was in H4, but Tiamat was also in the Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Album.
