Any thoughts on this final sale price? I was watching this one this morning as a matter of curiosity and would love to learn more about who is throwing this kind of weight around.

This one was mine. Something when wrong with the pictures and Ebay said they would try to fix it but no luck. The high bidder bailed on me so it is back up. Hopefully with working pictures.

I'd like to know the history of that Alma Mater hand stamp. For a convention game, maybe? &nd it's not really rare, but I don't see Metagaming's Security Station for sale often.

Devon and I had that stamp or one like it many years back. Forgot who we sold it to though.

They stamped the envelopes that were used for convention sales, once GenCon banned the sale of it due to the cover art.

Available now from Die Cast Games: Night of the Black Swords by Allen Hammack (Author of C2-The Ghost Tower of Inverness) with artwork by Jeff Easley and Diesel.

This financial report from 1980-81 could potentially be fascinating:

Particularly the clause about basing Star Frontiers upon valid scientific fact. If true, it means an early-1980s game company had knowledge of technology for interstellar space travel which far exceeded anything our government admitted to knowing about then or now. What else have they been hiding from us?

Congrats to whomever won this! I threw my hat in the ring but didn't make the cut.

Perhaps because it's not in the best condition and it didn't have the correct reference sheets.

It did have the bonus books though.

Great title. Can you actually cast a hex on someone with it?

UK seller won't ship outside of the UK has a UK B1 that was in the auto-discovered rares threads:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Same seller has an F116R Holmes book from GW (see the back cover image; even so, it's not the cool UK Holmes book with Blanche cover art):

** expired/removed eBay auction **

@Scott: is this a new printing?  I don't see it on the UK Basic page at Basic Set Foreign as an option.

Allan.

I think that one goes with the 3rd print box set, no prices on back.

As defined on the page, 3rd prints are 1001 Holmes books, not F116R.

Allan.
