This is also in Class 3 Rare Auctions, but it’s so sweet I thought it deserved more pub.  I can’t recall seeing one this nice, I hope someone can give it a nice home :)

That is indeed a nice copy.

If I'm going to draw attention to my unit, I can think of several better way to spend $610 to do so................

Isn't a microscope a bit too bulky though.

The polite term for a shrinkwrap enthusiast is "Dr. Shrinker."

I suspect it’s realistic. The alternate cover 5e books seem to go for very high prices, I suspect this may go higher.

I was wrong, it didn’t go much higher.

Here I go cross posting from our classified’s auction hunter. Just want to comment this is first I’ve seen that has survived the game table!  Hit points totalled, blank rooms dressed. Unfortunate treatment for a collectible, but games are for gaming :)

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

Realistic, especially if it's in shrink.
I've got mine safe on the shelf at home. Paid around $75 for it, prices have been going through the roof lately.

What would a 4th edition go for, ya think?

My biggest knock on mini stuff is that they aren't really usable.  Even with eagle eyesight the hardback minis were awful.

I've not bee a fan of any edition past 2nd. WoTC did the right thing from a business standpoint by dumbing down the game with each edition until it was so simple a baboon could learn it, but D&D was always tagged as a game for smart people. Heck, Monopoly is more complicated than 5E.
I think I have a shrinked set of the 3 core books for 4th, which is why I asked.
