The Dragon's with covers are the gems depending on condition. Personally I think the guy should cancel this auction and break this up. I doubt he will get 50% of what he could by breaking it up.

My guess is it is just laziness, not wanting to list and ship everything one by one.  But what is surprising is it appears to be a collector who for whatever reason needs to liquidate everything, therefore, they should have a good idea of the value, and likewise the amount they are going to lose with the lot-style auction.

Depending on where he has the reserve set, he may not lose anything... because it might not sell at all.

I got no answer to condition questions.  And, I agree he may not lose anything at all, lol.  Near or over a grand reserve without bothering to answer questions about mold, water damage or condition is too much for me, lol.  Too bad, like many, I would love those dragon magazines with covers.

Hey I see Bracton snagged that! :D Should it be added to the Rares section?

Jason - I'm actually looking for T1-4.  But I just can't get past the module cover.  Even though I'm not collecting for investing reasons, I still need some minimal decent appearance.

It's really helpful when you post these auction tips, BTW.

:D

Yeah, the description says the book is worn, but that map booklet has become so hard to find that I doubt this one will be up for long.

These are just the obvious auctions, need to search for the misplaced and misspelled to really find some good items.

Agree with Jason about the Map booklets being tough at times to get.
But IMO, these come up often that In your shoes, I would wait for a much nicer copy to surface, instead of settling for a worn out copy like that one.

The copy Jason linked to above may not be one, but I can also tell you that the most worn looking (fade covers) copies are usually first prints.
In my experience, those 1st Prints of the Temple Super Modules Covers tend to fade more than later prints.

The one above is an early print though (1st, to 4th) going by the angled TSR Logo at the bottom but the only way to be sure which print is to ask seller to post a pic, or described the back of the module...
See here...
http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpages/super.html

To be sure if it is a 1st, you need to know what the text is for area 13 of the Town of Hommlet... Where the text has a few errors and was corrected in all later prints.

In any case, for perhaps $15 more ($30-$35) and with some patience, you should be able to find a really nice copy of that module.
Another thing to note is that T1-4 is easily the most common of the so-called Super Modules.
Be patient and you will be rewarded by waiting for the right copy to come along.

With a lot of patience and careful watching, you might run into a really good bargain, like the $20 BIN copy in very nice condition that I recently snagged with Jason's help.
Wait... that was the one I snuck in and BINed while you were asking the seller a question about the Map Booklet...

Sorry could not help myself there....
Really, next time you wont have to worry about me.
I have enough copies of that one now. 8)

Thanks Gnat!  And I'm already aware of the $20 one that you snagged - I was the one whining about it a couple posts above!

BTW, what are the super modules?  Is it just:
B1-9
T1-4
GDQ1-7

Is G1-3 considered a super module?  I see that one a lot.

There's also A1-4, I3-5, and S1-4

What he said.... THAT WAS FAST!

Not to push myself as a seller, but you asked about them so...
I currently have all three of those last three Super-Modules listed on E-Bay right now.
They all started at .99 cents with no reserve.
Please see my ad in the Classified Board for a link.

FWIW: I do not count G1-3 as one of the Super Modules.

Yes, Indeed, I1-3 is one of the so called Super Modules and it usually sells as the second most expensive (most times) behind Q1-7.

While T1-4 is the most common, and that is why I would council patience in filling your empty spot with a nnice copy of that one.
And... IMO: Q1-7 is the most uncommon, especially complete and in Mint condition.

Small lot of varied AD&D material ending in an hour and a half (so this post will soon be an elephant).

Price is good at this point but only the last 10 seconds will get the snipe bids flowing.

This works out to $5 a book. Don't know if that is a good price or not. Paranoia used to be bargain bin stuff.

This seller has a good number of Birthright, Planscape and a bunch of other AD&D/D&D modules and supplements at decent min bid prices.
