Noble Knight packs well, using lots of paper.  Their items are usually (always?) in comic/magazine/Ziploc bags.  Noble Knight grading is accurate at the top-end and less accurate toward the bottom end.

Troll & Toad is a crapshoot, though their poor packing is consistent.  An item may have started out Near Mint, but banging loose in a box quickly takes care of that.  It's a fun game of postal roulette.  

I've spent less than $50 with Troll & Toad over the past x-years.  I have spent far more than that with Noble Knight this year alone.

I bought many times to Noble Knight and I was satisfied each time. Only one time did I receive punched counters in a boxed set, I thought they were un-punched, in fact the description of the item was unclear about that point. Aaron is an excellent and very professional seller to my opinion, for that item he immediately offered to me a partial refund and recognized that the description should have mentioned "punched" counters.
The service of NBK is a great one, immediate shipping, high quality packaging, prompt mail answers to every question, and condition is very accurate, a NM item is really a NM item, a VF item really a VF item, so stock photos is not a problem. I think it's one of the best positive point I found at Noble Knight in opposition to Troll and Toad, accurate item classification. The only counterpart of that great service is the prices, sometimes a little bit high for OOP items, so in conclusion I would rate Noble Kngiht 9 out of 10, in comparison I would rate Troll and Toad 5 or 6 out of 10.

I'm not saying much new but as I literally bought something from NK within the last 15 minutes, I thought I'd add my voice to the chorus of favor.

I agree that NK is best for newer items-- OOP stuff tends to be subject to an enormous markup if it is popular (e.g. D&D). On the other hand, I've bought some Classic Traveller stuff from him in the past at extremely reasonable prices, bargains even.

A few years ago I had a bit of a disappointment myself regarding the stock photo issue-- I got a later print of the MM than I thought I was getting based on the photo. I complained to Aaron and he immediately offered to take back the book or give me a store credit. He's good people.

Nothing new to add to the discussion, but I am another very satisfied NK customer.

I have dealt extensively with Aaron and trust him completely. Whenever I sell stuff, I usually just box it up and mail it to him with a note to just add whatever he feels it is worth to my account.

As a game store manager myself, I can understand his higher prices on the really collectible stuff. That isn't stuff he is trying to move fast. It is acquired with the understanding that it will collect dust for awhile until a customer comes along who doesn't want to get it off eBay.  Having a reputable seller with honest grading who stands by the things he sells is worth a premium over the crap-shoot that eBay can be for high-end items!

I've never had a problem with NKG that Aaron didn't make right within a day.
