Just curious, but I have been checking the pdf copy that I have (which may or may not have been the free one that is/was available) and it has 'deep' as the last word, not text on P34 and is marked as a 9th in the details on the first pages.

Are you thinking, too, that dubeers doesn't actually have a legal copy of the book?
I wasn't quite sure which way to read the request in their first post.

Yep; that goes hand-in-hand with the duplicated text carried forward page 33 of the early prints.

News to me that WotC had made that a free .pdf in perpetuity (any reference for that or the others?), although Dave Arneson stuck his neck by putting Blackmoor online.

Heh; true enough... I'd rather presumed a WotC .pdf would be watermarked and not have so many typos ("Reward's Mystical Organ"?), but maybe not so.

Yeah, ok...I see what they did there.  The 9th PDF isn't using the original fonts at all.  Instead, they tried to do font-matching and munged it up, so it's completely useless as a research document.  I thought they had graphically scanned the book with an OCR overlay for those that like to cut/paste.  (Somewhat surprisingly, hunting for "bootleg" graphically-scanned PDFs has turned up nothing.)  Sorry guys, guess that's the one that got away.  

It's reasonable to conclude that the 9th without any text on pg. 34 is just the poorly done PDF, so we have no solid info on the original problem as of yet, unfortunately.

Note for future reference:  I am attempting to find a known textual distinction between the 9th and any other printing on pg. 13-46 that Traveller might check to confirm that this portion of his book belongs with the 9th.
