The Acaeum is mainly for paper products, though miniatures pop up from time-to-time.    I don't know if anyone on the Acaeum specializes in collecting them.  When miniatures do pop up, the are usually related to D&D/AD&D.

The member Mars [Edit: I mean Blackmoor  :x ]has a spouse who paints minis.  And benjoshua sells minis on eBay.

Dragonsfoot has a miniatures/artists area, and that is more appropriate for topics such as painting and art.

I think you probably meant that other Canuck, Blackmoor, who has a spouse that paints minis.  I do occassionally come across them and sell them though.  Also, EggofCoot (another member here) has a painting service.

Just look around for the topics headings related to miniatures.  They do exist here.  Many of the Acaeum members collect them.

However, I do have a sizable collection of metal minis going back to the mid 1970's in some cases.  I estimate around 4000 or so, and I'm an avid painter as well.

Welcome!  I have a good-sized bunch of minis, but I don't refer to them as a collection because I just get minis to use when I DM.  I also paint and have painted quite a few recently.  In fact, I finished up a bunch today.  People on these forums don't talk about minis often, so I showcase my minis on Dragonsfoot http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=38299&start=15.

I also sell quite a few minis and have up twenty-four auctions this week http://shop.ebay.com/benjoshuasdad/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686.

Again, welcome!  :)
