Actually, I did (rather than posting "tl;dr").

You said nothing later to negate that belief in a $15-27 valuation and reinforced that with your "It is listed as being valued at about 1/5th the amount of the one that was described in the listing…" quote despite clear evidence to the contrary from actual, previous experiences on this precise item and previous misidentification.
Now, do I need to ask Frank Mentzer to convince you for once and all that simply ain't the case? ;)

This thread was created by him... not me.

Ever heard the phrase "do not feed the troll"? (Rather than erecting an oxygen tent over them and pumping that full).

I invite you to send me a PM.
Please explain to me what the deal is here.

If you have a persecution complex arising from someone adding in their considered 02c to your original post in that "shady dealer" thread there's not much I can do for that, sorry. Not everyone has to agree with each other all the time around here and I have no problem with you as an individual but please remember there are always others around who are impacted by ones actions.

You might have a bruised ego that you tried to brush off and move on from whereas the seller has $500 (say) less in their pocket than they /might/ have had if you hadn't started bandying words like "fraud" around so freely and dragging that over here onto the shady dealer thread. (Taking darkhorse at their word re. "freebies", but that can be followed-up, of course).
Which is "worse"?

That's good advice. I don't know what bug you have up your ass faro, but most of the time I see you post it is to attack Gnat over something.

So Gnat, faro is your personal troll, let him starve, use the Acaeum ignore button (waggles finger over mouse to go to the next post that isn't by some paper tiger named faro).

Jason; I've made 5,000+ posts here and "attacked" Gnat personally with none of those. Grow up, seriously, rather than stoking flames and divisions.

Why would you make a statement like this if the only reason you registered here was to call out "Aenoth"?  Unless of course you've been here before in another guise . . .

And to get slightly OT, why do so many Americans consider military service to automatically entitle one to a sterling reputation and immunity to any questions considering their motives or honesty?  "Such and such was in the army you know . . ."  So was Timothy McVeigh . . .  Sheesh!

See it's not always me.

I must say that 1st post was really hard for me to not respond to.

I would have done the same thing... maybe worse. She was dodging her responsibility as a seller and left the buyer to the only logical conclusion. Actually, I would have sent a much worse e-mail.

Again, my vote is for Gnat in all regards here... even if he did operate out of fear slightly for a moment there.

BTW: Faro, I'm calling bullshit on your treatment of Gnat... I bet you your left nut you would have done the same thing if you were in his position. And if you are going "give advice" you may want to actually be a little nicer. People listen better when they are not being attacked... especially when they've come to the group seeking help.

Thanks for outing that piece of shit, Nick, our friend from Florida (Also known as Mr-Monte-Hall and various other names).  Nick loves to lurk these boards and send unsolicited emails to sellers directing them to these boards when their shady business practices are discussed. Formerly, Nick would use his ebay ids to bid on items from resellers, and then not pay and leave negative feedback. Looks like he's back again...leading you and the seller around by the nose trying to stir up trouble. Unless you're actually Nick himself.

Oh, and darkhorse, before I forget, why don't you blow me, you piece of shit?

One word, EGG... brainwashing.

The development that disturbs me is how the OP has managed to set Acaeum members against each other so readily. But then, I'm relatively new, and may not know of previous feuds...

What?  faro vs. gnat vs. jason?  Nah, that's just some back-and-forth.

Yeh, you'll know a feud when you see it.  SCORCHED EARTH.  This is just some sweet nothings compared to those.

LOL, this has been the best bitch-fight thread I've read in quite a while.  Something you don't expect to see here at the Acaeum.  Thanks for the laughs guys.

Mike, I have always wanted to ask about your avatar.  What exactly is that troll\giant doing....Getting ready to race or take a dump?  :D

Stop.  Breathe.  Listen.

This is exactly the sort of nonsense the original poster sought to invoke.  I do not know what he gets out of it, but I do know what we'll lose.

Wonder if this is same the guy that tipped off my current piss-ant? Is Greyhawk an eBay ID?

"Nicer" includes not calling people hypocrites?
No, I wouldn't have responded in any such manner and if you check the link back to viewtopic.php?p=61089&highlight=#61089 I posted way back on the "shady dealers" thread you can see my reaction to actually having purchased a "1977" Wizard logo pad without having noticed the logo, rather than any over-reaction days before auction-end.
If the seller had not replied at all and if Gnat ended up as highest bidder and if they refused to show some empathy for that "misunderstanding" of which neither party was aware, then there might've been an issue of sorts, but even then hardly into "shady dealer" territory IMHO compared with dozens of false descriptions, etc., on eBay on a regular basis.
*
Gnat called "fraud", opened here on the "shady dealers" thread rather than asking for a neutral assessment then willfully ignored evidence provided to counter their repeated insistence on a $15-27 "valuation" and their made-up TSR "error date" justification, etc., didn't appear to care about the possibility of a seller being away for a few days and still continues with pointless, sarcastic comments like "I am still trying to figure out who Aenoth is.... :?" which hardly help with regards to assessing behaviors.
Which under the circumstances leads to utterly pointless "us vs. them" situations that tend to be no-win more often than not.

My point was that if you hadn't attacked Gnat maybe he would have accepted your criticism(s)... some of which are valid. Faro I mean no disrespect to you or your position... only your method of delivery...

Now remember this lady STILL HAS NOT RESPONDED to Gnat in any forum... accept now that there is a looser in the ranks trying to muck-up the situation further for her.

Maybe Gnat went a little TOO far... But that was the point I was making about the "little bit" of fear. I'm sure he had a lump in his throat when he realized the mistake he had made, THAT WE, his community, advised on. After two tries I'm sure he felt no other option but to use the language ("fraud") that eBay had available.

This woman was ignorant about her item (which is OK I guess), then failed to answer 2 perfectly reasonable e-mails in two days... then had the audacity to get sensitive about Gnat's 3rd e-mail in which he mentions the word "fraud" (only for lack of a better avenue I'm sure) that was a direct result of her ignorance and tardiness to her duties.

This eBay seller is not "shady" if all of this is in fact true... she is insufferably dim. Which is reason enough for me to post her to the Shady Dealers thread.

Thanks Gnat, Thanks for doing all of us the favor of not having to deal with this moron!

I can't even begin to imagine the bang-up job she would have done on packing and mailing these items out.

You missed some good ones then....this is amateur night compared to some of the antagonists we've had.

I should ask Otus....it's from one of the mini-games he did the art to (Saga?) and since that game was smaller all the artwork was sort of...smushed....and thus the poor troll gets squashed.

But yeh, my take would be he's about to drop a giant-ass troll dump on a well used trail so a clueless adventurer will get it all over his boots while the troll hides in the bushes watching, giggling to himself.... :D
