Exactly! I couldn't remember the song and it was bugging me.

This book arrived today. Have a look at the marks on the left-hand side of the page. What do you think?

Hard to see, astenon.  However, I do not think it is mold.

Davidc - now that IS mold.  Separate at the least, but my advice is to burn it.

argh... thanks...   what I did was double-bag it and seal it in a pre-fab frame... most of the magazine, really all but the last two or three sheets are fine... and looking at the cover makes me happy :)

but, it's two rooms and one floor away from the game room, so *fingers crossed* all owning this beaut will cost me is what I paid for it...

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Bleach removes mold/mildew in a few seconds, though your paper then becomes damp and has bleach on it.  I'm not recommending that you bleach it, but it is an option.

I tried a small spot, just to see, and it kind of made the spot go clear - sort of like a wax paper effect.

If it wasn't a #1, I'd ditch it for sure.

What I think I might do is throw it in the sun - see if that won't halt the spread.  I also plan to look at it again in a few months and see if the spotting gets worse...

What do people think of this? I bought it second-hand, and I think it looks like someone spit out coffee or coke. Should I just dump it?

I don't think it's mold or mildew.

Since it is ruined anyway, why not try some things.  If it is Coke or coffee, I'd start with water, just dabbing with a barely wet paper towel.  If the color changes, you could continue.  If the color doesn't change, you could experiment with a water/bleach solution and see what happens.  While the I2 cover isn't valuable, your research could prove useful later on.  If you mess up, no biggie.  If you fix it, or even make it better, it might become nice enough to keep.  8)

Unlikely, it is a well known fact that gamers only drink Mtn. Dew.

If you are going to use bleach to clean up the discoloration, I would dilute it significantly.

Speak for yourself.  If I was going to speculate what goat piss tasted like, Mountain Dew would be the first thing that came to mind.  :puker:
