It's a restaurant/bar? in Indy, concurrent with GenCon.

Address for the Rathskeller is:

401 E michigan Street
Indianapolis, IN. 46204

It's a medium length walk from most of the "Gencon" Hotels.

Yeah, I read that it's at the Rathskeller, but I didn't know where that was. Thanks for the condescending response, though.

No condescension intended. I know how to find it from the con site only; that's all I need.

I figured if you saw the name you'd google it and find it.

I think you see insult where none was made.

I did search and found lots of hits, including one in my home state. I didn't know it had anything to do with GenCon, as there was nothing noting that. I think you just like trying to make people look foolish. You're a big man on the internet. Congrats.

Relax . . .

The 2008 Acaeum dinner has a thread or two and associated photos; the fact that it is held at GenCon is more-or-less general knowledge.

Acaeum Dinner = Gencon + Rathskeller, or some variant of that equation.

I sincerely apologize for asking an innocent question and not doing thorough research first for my passing interest in where a restaurant is located.

You asked a question. Tim took time out of his day to answer your question. He was not condescending. That he didn't completely answer your question was not his fault. Yet you felt the need to take a shot at him....

Hey DnDGeek,

If you google Rathskeller and Indianapolis you will have no problem finding the location.

Now, take a breath and relax.  No one was being condescending to you.

No, he didn't answer my question. He was being internet jerk.

Once again, I had no idea what state it was in because there was no mention that the dinner had anything to do with GenCon.

Your opinion.

My question, "Where is this? Just curious" gets me all this flack? And to think I was interested in meeting some of you folks. Ha.

Last time I looked, "check the top of your page" is nowhere near condescending.  Even after Kaskoid made the comment stating that there was no condescension intended you still feel like you have been somehow wronged and have to make some kind of statement....even after several people have posted that you are overreacting.

Please do grow up.  :?

Saying,"it's at the Rathskeller or whatever" wouldn't be condescending and attempting to answer my question, perhaps not realizing that I didn't know what state it was in or what event it was related to. Saying, "check the top of your page" is akin to saying, "duh" and you damn well know it.

Yeah, that's me. The jerk who wanted to know where your dinner was. Thanks all for culminating my crappy week with more crap. Obviously no one sees my side, but I'm honestly one of the nicest guys you could meet. I just don't like people who feel they can be condescending just because they have the buffer of the internet between them. I speak the same way, in person or on the internet. Love the site, but now I'm probably tagged as "that guy". Great.
