That's where the R4 prepub came from. He's a business, you can't go reaming him out for putting retail prices on things. You probably don't balk at paying $1.50 for a small soda at a convenience store when you can buy a 2 liter for 70 cents at the supermarket, do you? It's convenience, and capitalism. If you don't like the prices, don't complain about it, just don't buy from him.Sometimes I think eBay was the worst thing ever invented.First off... I *do* balk at paying that much for a small soda unless I have no other choice. I'm cheap because I have to be. Dammit Jim! I'm a Medical Assistant not a Doctor! :P Second... I almost *never* buy anything from eBay, again, unless I have no other choice. I prefer to support small, local businesses as much as I can by buying a majority of my collection from local small used book stores. I've gotten some great deals that way and made friendships that will last a lifetime.Third.... I agree, eBay was one of the worst things ever invented.

cabala wrote in Do you even bother?: I like to support local brick and mortar stores but my wallet doesn't like MSRP for the many myriad of items I collect. Sometimes shit is even marked up which just kills me and then they wonder why their store closed 3 months later. It's hard to buy full retail when online stores offer 20-30% discounts on the items. For out of print, well its up to you to decide what it's worth.
