I'd have to agree. Better pics might help.

Sadly, unless Badmike gets some off his phone, that is the only one of that one I have.

This one had the miniatures that were painted in house. The box was in better shape as well.

Nice!  8O

That may be the first copy of Holmes Basic signed by Holmes that I've seen, and it's a 1st print rulebook.

Do you have any idea when/where Holmes signed it?

I have an obscure zine from 1974 with a facisimile of a letter that he sent to them, signed "Eric", and it looks very much like the "Eric" here.

What an awesome find.
Looking at this really makes me miss my own collection, which has now been hibernating for 18 months in a storage locker in Australia.
I have just a small miscellany of items here, which keeps my gaming urge in check, but I've put my buying on the back-burner as the cost to ship here is just too high.

don't talk about where your storage locker is located! You're just inviting someone(s) on here to raid it  PDT_Armataz_01_36  PDT_Armataz_01_35  :D

I would love to buy the monster manual prototype box of miniatures. Or please let me know when it hits eBay? Thank you.

I personally do not know for sure but they might let me know and if they do I will pass it along here.

This was initially caught my eye since I was totally unfamiliar with it. When I asked about it the treasure door opened and I saw all the rest. I still have a few cool pics left (one of them is really something unique).

Nice.  Quite a few things in there I had forgotten about or have never heard about.  Too bad my collecting budget is reaching its limits after the last 6 months of full speed buying of the 1980s memories!

I think the unicorn must've been clubbed over the head in the dead of night, thrown into the back of a pickup truck and spirited away to a secret location

Heh, sorry here are the rest of the images from that visit. Right after I started posting these I sold-out to Frog God Games and became very busy and distracted.

First here is a better image of one area you were looking at...

Image

Image

here is another image with with the prototype MM2 figurine set...

Image

They think the molds were made but only random figs were inside (I didnt look closely) like this...

Image

It was true that a huge percentage of the collection was never produced beyond the prototyping stage.

Many of these for instance...

Image

and some of these (wide shot of about 30% of what they had)...I think the defenders playset (in red was one).

Image

The unicorn in question was related to an Item that was available (I think they only made 5-10)....

Image

Image

And here is the Unicorn...It is a true one of a kind item. They cast the wizard and Gary hated it so they made a completely the different one (the Crusader, above)...But the mold was broken due to contract and that was the only one ever made.

Image

Good Times,

Zach
