2015 NTX Event List
Bill Barsh / Pacesetter Games & Simulations
Fifth Annual AD&D Open Tournament
Game Title: TM6 Felhorde (AD&D Open Tournament)
Game System: First Edition AD&D
Number of Players: Eight (8)
Pregens/Level of Characters: 3rd -- 5th; Provided
World Setting: Darkland
Time Needed: Four (4) Hours
Sessions: Wednesday (afternoon [ approx. p.m.]), Thursday (noon), Friday (morning slot)
Short Description: Amidst the horrific carnage, Eruptor, the red dragon, lay dead. The race to recover the dragon's treasure was on and a group of heroes penetrated the lair only to find most of the treasure already stolen. A group of crag gnomes fled into the deep, loaded with a dragon's horde, as the adventurers, battered from their ordeal, fled the trap-filled lair. As the PCs camped and recovered, a rush of wind extinguished their fire. Before it could be relit, a flame streamed from the darkness and the fire pit blazed with light. In its glow, the red dragon, Eruptor, growled and spoke. His message is simple: find his treasure or die trying. The adventurers must pursue the crag gnomes into the deep chasms to their underground world.
This is a single round event -- only register for one session. There are prizes for each team, based on finish.
B2 Beyond the Caves of Chaos
Game Title: Beyond the Caves of Chaos
Game System: Fifth Edition D&D
Number of Players: Eight (8)
Pregens/Level of Characters: 3rd -- 5th; Provided
World Setting: Greyhawk (Darkland)
Time Needed: Four (4) Hours or until we pass out
Session: Saturday night, 7
pm start
Short Description: The caves of chaos have been cleansed but an intriguing tunnel was found in the process. Seemingly blocked to bar access, the tunnel plunges deep into the earth. Just inside a black, marble obelisk rests in the center of the passage. A single ruin -- the mark of the dread archmage Hilgdred -- is the only mark upon the obelisk. Of what concern can the storm wizard have within the deep.
This event uses the Fifth Edition D&D rules (although you do not need to know them beforehand). As usual, the
DM will provide a certain spirit -- otherwise, byob.
