Well, it's listed in "Board & Traditional Games", which of course adds to the zaniness.

Five bucks says somebody buys it.

Someone could claim to be allergic to red Tic-tacs, and sue the manufacturer for more than $5000.

I've been watching this.  I have one but this seems a low price, are these no longer desireable?

They are still quite desirable.  Recent sales on eBay range from about $70, for just the case and CD's, to $230 for BIN.  Typical sale price is about $70-80.

It's doubtful that price will remain that low ($12.46), especially now that it's listed here.  Because it's listed as a UK sale only, that might be putting a damper on who sees the auction and is interested in it.  Who knows.  Someone might get lucky though.  Only five hours to go!

$35.  seems like a good buy.  And I think these are rarer over on this side of the pond.

Sure, my Fiend Folio has the same pattern (two copies of some pages, other pages missing). I don't think it's especially rare or desired. Maybe the seller could pair it alongside an orange-spine hardback with failed binding, & sell them both as a matched-set testament to the futility of consumerism & success in the materialistic 1980s. Then photograph them in front of a Miami Vice poster & a picture of Reagan.

Yeah, Make a killing off of trashing old playing mods and sell them as 'misprints'.  I can see people's expressions now... page 1 you are in search of the unknown, page 2 you are in the demonweb pits.  $100 easy money  :D

Yes, happened often enough.  There have been a few threads on The Acaeum on the topic.

Misprints typically don't increase the value.  If anything, they decrease it, especially if there is missing or damaged content.  Sometimes additional content can increase the value (pages from Deities & Demigods in the the DMG, extra cover stapled into a module, etc.).

That’s a gorgeous set.  Fine print: $1000 is allocated for shipping and there’s a $7500 donation included.

Not that I’m on the fence, but I prefer to make my charitable donations in my name. That’s a significant deduction to leave on the table.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

That is a crazy price.  The taxes alone would be prohibitive.  I guess if you are in the market for dropping 75 large ones, taxes are probably the last thing you are concerned about.  However, if there were a 'shrinkwrap' version of this, I imagine this could be it.

That's priced for a very particular collector. Price out the mere mortals and it's available to those that their time is much more precious than money.

Somebody that clears $1M a year, that's only about 3 weeks pay.
